Bottle. Pours a pale yellow with a small white head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is hay, cereal, and bread. Flavor is just like the aroma with cereal and and bread and yeast. On the palate the beer is light-bodied and very thin with loads of carbonation. Better than Buds and Millers out there and kinda enjoyable on the beach.

UPDATED: DEC 8, 2017 My 300th review - was saving it for something special and then I saw Red Stripe unrated as I was browsing and could not resist haha - this sh*t is the bane of live gigs in the south west. Every venue seems to peddle Red Stripe at extortionate prices. Cheap piss, swill lager than is unworthy of even considering in a can or on draught. However, I do have a soft spot for the dumpy bottles, chilled almost to freezing, and imbibed on a summer’s day. I have a love / hate relationship with this beer. :)

I have been drinking beer my whole life. Ever since i found this ive only drank my urine. It has a better overall taste than this root "beer" (it's more so root than beer).

Sampled from 0.33 l bottle from 'Getränketempel', bottled in April 2017. Clear, golden yellow with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly grassy and a bit skunky aroma of grains and some straw. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, a little grassy taste of grains and some straw, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy and a bit metallic finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Drinkable.

Not the worst choice for a lager. Classic, a bit stale and dry. Grassy finish. Very effervescent. Tried for the first time in 2007.
