Nice beer. Better enjoyed straight from the bottle. I agree it is a bit pricey but enjoyable with just about anything. If you're going tropical, it's a much better choice than Corona and a slightly better choice than Hatuey. Eet's an oglay bottal bot eet's a gude beer mon!

Sanctuary is a rock bar in Basingstoke. Closing next month. No cellar so all beer is cans and Red Stripe best on offer. Sweet saccharine floral aroma. Pale gold. No head. Sweet. Chemically so but could be more offensive. Thin. Light. Fizzy. Abrupt. Had worse.

Bottle at a Jamaican restaurant in Edinburgh. Nose is not much, some straw, citrus. Palate is watery citrus, cardboard, metal finish. Pretty bad. At least a bit drinkable

#XinGourmet #GuiasLocais #LocalGuides #bebida #Red #Stripe #imported #lager #beer #brewed #Jamaica #jamaican #cerveja #clara #leve #água #malte #cevada #levedura #lúpulo Red Stripe - R$12,50

UPDATED: DEC 8, 2017 My 300th review - was saving it for something special and then I saw Red Stripe unrated as I was browsing and could not resist haha - this sh*t is the bane of live gigs in the south west. Every venue seems to peddle Red Stripe at extortionate prices. Cheap piss, swill lager than is unworthy of even considering in a can or on draught. However, I do have a soft spot for the dumpy bottles, chilled almost to freezing, and imbibed on a summer’s day. I have a love / hate relationship with this beer. :)

I have been drinking beer my whole life. Ever since i found this ive only drank my urine. It has a better overall taste than this root "beer" (it's more so root than beer).

Sampled from 0.33 l bottle from 'Getränketempel', bottled in April 2017. Clear, golden yellow with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly grassy and a bit skunky aroma of grains and some straw. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, a little grassy taste of grains and some straw, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy and a bit metallic finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Drinkable.
