had this once out of a 32 oz bottle. easy to drink. but of course water is too. wasn't as horrible as i thought it was going to be. but nothing to write home about. Slick (1969) - Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA - DEC 22, 2002
Not as good as the graphics on the can.lite in aroma little in flavor with a clean finish.I guess it will do on a hot day when the liqour store is closed and your out of good beer and it's all the neighbor has in his fridge. BurgerBeerMan99 (21) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 23, 2002

Still around, but not in too many places. Acceptable, but kind of non-descript. Unfortunately in some places this may be the best beer that is available. Rhino (57) - USA - OCT 31, 2002

Color fairly attractive with advertised rouge tones--fizzy macro head. Flavor slightly sweet, slightly tangy, not bad but overpowered by excessive carbonation, which ruins any reasonable mouthfeel it might have otherwise had. Very mediocre macro effort. This used to be one of my favorites, just because I thought it was different than the rest out there, but after learning my way around the beer world, I found that this is really nothing special. Nice color, lots of carbonation, barely any flavor, except for some bitterness and a little sweetness. Not sure what I was thinking. Another beer that will trick you into thinking it's a microbrew, which, of course, it is not. beerguy101 (5364) - Newark, California, USA - SEP 16, 2002
Not much to this beer. Why do I waste my time drink this macro crap???
Red color, medium head. Not very malty, not very hoppy beer. Lighter taste, not much flavor, a hint of malt sweetness. Mouthfeel is a little spritzy. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. OD40oz (774) - Box Elder, South Dakota, USA - AUG 28, 2002
I like this a lot better than red dog. It is smooth and easy to drink. Not as good as Budweiser or PBR though. Ringo (963) - Loveland, Colorado, USA - AUG 15, 2002
I think this came out originally as an early macro capitalization of micros. In other words, a macro, thinly masquerading as a micro, to fool the beer lover into buying it once, and the fool into believing that it is great. The best thing that I can say about it is that it is better than Red Dog.
