London Porter
Our dark brown coloured London Porter with chocolate, coffee, liquorice and dry roasted malt flavours complimented with hints of dark fruit. Generous late hopping adds some zest and the initial sweetness fades into a restrained bitter finish. Deceptively drinkable and a SIBA Gold medal winner.

Cask@CBC Clerkenwell
Dark ruby color, good firm beige head. Toasted malty nose has hints of licorice. Light-bodied. Light chocolaty, malty flavor. Low bitterness. Smooth porter but at least this cask version is easy to forget.

Klares orange braunes Bier. Geruch süß und mild röstmalzig, schokoladig. Geschmack schokoladig, süß malzig, leicht holzig, etwas wässrig.

Reddish brown. Light body. Coke flavor. Dry. Delicious treat from BlackHaddock.

gunnar (9403) - Sandnes, NORWAY - APR 5, 2016
Shared bottle at local tasting. Pours ruby as Coke with a small creamy off-white head. Aroma is weak burnt malts, molasse and some liquorice. Taste is well balanced, some liquorice and fresh grounded coffee, moreish, with a very good long finish.

Holmen2 (3882) - NORWAY - APR 5, 2016
Shared bottle at RB/HD on board Fridtjofen 05.04.16. Very dark brown. Dark beige head and lacing. Aroma of black malt, liquorice and a cottage dry toilet. Taste of black malt, liquorice and thin coffee. Perhaps a bit waterish mouthfeel.

Holmen1 (6304) - Stavanger, NORWAY - APR 5, 2016

ManVsBeer (10927) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - MAR 27, 2016
Cask @ The Grove, Huddersfield. Dark reddish-brown with a thin bubbly head. Has a mild vanilla flavour and is crisp to drink. There’s some roasted malts evident in its nose.

Rasmus40 (21690) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - MAR 24, 2016
Cask @ Craft Beer co., Covent Garden. Clear very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, roasted malt and light hoppy. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and roasted moderate bitter finish. 240316

minutemat (5938) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAR 9, 2016
500ml bottle @ Shrewsbury Beer Share, March 16, courtesy of Blackhaddock. Pours dark, off white head. Good chocolatey porter character, not too dissimilar to Fullers London Porter. My kind of porter. Delicious.

BlackHaddock (7570) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAR 8, 2016
500ml bottle at the March 2016 Shrewsbury Beer Exchange Group meeting: split between five. Decent Porter with enough flavour and depth to spare. Usual Porter look, black with a tanned topping, usual Porter aroma and taste of over roasted malts with a semi-bitter overtone: this just had those attributes in buckets.
