London Porter
Our dark brown coloured London Porter with chocolate, coffee, liquorice and dry roasted malt flavours complimented with hints of dark fruit. Generous late hopping adds some zest and the initial sweetness fades into a restrained bitter finish. Deceptively drinkable and a SIBA Gold medal winner.

Rune (13507) - Tromsø, NORWAY - OCT 14, 2014
Half, poured from cask at Fox & Anchor in Smithfield. Good looking with its rosewood coloured body and a fair, fawn-coloured head. Fine aromas of chocolate and caramel. Mixed flavours including dried fruits like figs on a backbone of chocolate malts. Not overly sweet on the swallow. Pleasant porter, easy to drink (London 26.09.2014).

[email protected] bird real ale festival 2014. Black, cola- like colour. Really roasty, nice tarry. A bit too dry of a body, feels harsh. Ok though, but nothing too good.

stravale (3145) - Co. Westmeath, IRELAND - SEP 13, 2014
Bottle from Ales By Mail [160814]
Very dark ruby, thin tan head that dissipates to thin rim
Aroma of dark malts, very soft citrus, soft dark chocolate, slight perfumy floral note
Taste as aroma, merging into a black IPA, soft citrus, dark malts, some dark chocolate, moreish
Palate - soft carb, medium body, bit oily, soft sweet palate. Finish as main flavour, soft sweet malts, nice floral notes in the dark malts
Overall - Very much a soft black IPA / porter hybird. I like it.

500ml bottle: head on this died b4 I got a chance to care about with an intense brown dark colour. Treacle aroma with roast dark chocolate coffee nuts. Everything I mentioned the nose is present on the flavour front - with some dry roast maybe hop bitterness backdrop too. Pretty rich porter nice enough with decent character. .
