Cask at Euston Tap, London. Clear deep amber/brownish beer with a small but lasting beige head. Roasted chocolate aroma, cocoa, vinous, cream, figs, tar notes, dark chocolate notes. Roasted coffee and chocolate flavor, vanilla, vinous, cocoa, licorice, some figs. Decent but slightly thin. Gary (1999) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 4, 2014
500ml bottle: head on this died b4 I got a chance to care about with an intense brown dark colour. Treacle aroma with roast dark chocolate coffee nuts. Everything I mentioned the nose is present on the flavour front - with some dry roast maybe hop bitterness backdrop too. Pretty rich porter nice enough with decent character.
