An tasty wee porter which is teasing me, Liquorice, mace, mixed dried fruit, anything, something, whatever it is it’s going on in the background which makes for a good pint.

Dark ruby color, good firm beige head. Toasted malty nose has hints of licorice. Light-bodied. Light chocolaty, malty flavor. Low bitterness. Smooth porter but at least this cask version is easy to forget.

Shared bottle at local tasting. Pours ruby as Coke with a small creamy off-white head. Aroma is weak burnt malts, molasse and some liquorice. Taste is well balanced, some liquorice and fresh grounded coffee, moreish, with a very good long finish.
