Light Ale
An award-winning Light Ale brewed with three malts and three hops. Generous late hopping provides Seville orange aromas and the initial malt sweetness is dominated by citrus flavours which explode on the palate. Brewed with plenty of malt to provide decent body, so it has some backbone for a low ABV beer. There’s also a pronounced bitterness throughout.

[email protected] Rake, London. probably the best beer I’ve had in a while, it was in great condition first of all, and was bursting with hoppy flavours, yet it was so light/refreshing. Only 3% too, which means you can bury loads as well, which is great because it tastes really good. Classy. Also, i wouldn’t call this a mild! This tastes along the lines of Dark Star Hophead, JHB etc.... Not a mild!

Bottle from Bridgend Services, Freuchie. Pours clear. Light amber. Thin, lacy off-white head that hangs around for a bit. Citrus on the nose first. Lemon and grapefruit. Juice and rind. Straw malt. Digestive biscuit. Nice. Taste has more citrus character. Lemonade spritz. Pithy grapefruit again. Light bready sweetness from the malt. Good amount of bitterness. Crispy and a little drying towards the finish. Real depth and way more oomph than I expected from this 3% light ale. Lightish carbonation and a lightish body but much fuller than I would’ve thought it’d be. Superb sessionable ale.

Clear golden ale with a white head. Bitter, zesty aroma. Taste is grassy citrus, creamy mouthfeel. Very dry, bitter aftertaste. A touch watery in the finish but it holds up very well compared to other beers of similar strength.

Cask, 1/2 pint, hand-pulled at Bon Accord, Glasgow on 5 Sep 2016, grassy, lemon aroma, golden with a thin bubbly off-white head and thick film of lacing, lemon, grapefruit, grain flavour, full of flavour, bitter hoppy aftertaste.

Handpump at Doggett's pub in London. Ancient golden hazy pour, bubbles on the foam. Nose: hoppy blast, orange mostly, tangerine, sweet citric. Mouth: sessional, some malty notes, more citric a bit tart and pleasant. Great session beer, a bit tea like in the end. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
