Clear golden beer with a minimal whiteish head. Aroma is a bit sweet malty with a hint of hoppiness. A bit thin mouthfeel. taste is malty, a bit like a lager but with some hops added. Ok, but nothing special.

355 ml bottle. Slightly hazy golden colour, thin white head. Sweetish, fruity and malty aroma. The flavour is sweetish, mildly malty, with some fruity notes. Nothing special. douglas88 (9789) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 22, 2014
Bottle. Pours a clear copper color with a small white head. A light sweet nose. Biscuit, honey, oranges. Light tea. larsga (7675) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 20, 2014
Medium coarseish offwhite head. Slightly hazy amber body with
strong carbonation. Fruity raisiny strawy aroma with grainy
notes. Dryish strawy fruity raisiny taste with grainy notes, and
perhaps touches of cardboard. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, smooth
mouthfeel. Dryish cardboard and straw aftertaste with fruity
toffee and caramel notes. It’s nice, but perhaps a bit austere
and cardboardy. (0.355l bottle, from Meny Oslo City.) beerbaaron (1997) - Arizona, USA - AUG 19, 2014
Clear light golden, minimal head. Sweeter malty aroma. Honey. Grain. Caramel. Orange. Light pine. Light and crisp. Light grassy earthy bitterness. Not too sweet. Pretty dry. A little odd tasting. Seemed "un-fresh like".

Draft. Pours golden with decent cream colored head. Nose is some sweetness. Taste is very mild with not much hoppiness. Not a very good pale. jrodooo5 (1748) - DOVER, Delaware, USA - AUG 4, 2014
Decent light copper pour w/ a thin head that leaves some lacing. The aroma is basically nonexistent especially for the style - maybe a hint of malt mildly comes through. The taste is malty up front & finishes flavorless w/out any hop presence. Mouthfeel is ok but is this really an APA? If so, pretty darn bad! Bulk_Carrier (6064) - Vermont, USA - AUG 1, 2014
Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance had a fairly decent looking pale orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute.
There was some light foamy trickling lacing sliding into the beer.
The taste was mainly bitter but without anything really showing exactly why it’s bitter. Faded hops, just how old is this? I’m not exactly sure why I can’t find a date anywhere.
The smell was, hmmmm...grainy I guess.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with not much of a sessionability about it as it just seemed to be bitter to bitter, unbalanced for the most part.
Overall, I wish I had a date on this beer I thought Red Hook was good about that. If I could pull it off, I’d only try this fresh, something didn’t just seem right. Vestlake (279) - Birmingham, Alabama, USA - JUL 17, 2014
Smells and tastes like a basic American Pale Ale. Okay, not much to differentiate it from many of the others. hfmejias (1297) - Marshall, Minnesota, USA - JUL 15, 2014
12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured golden, clear, nice white head, no real lacing on the glass. Aroma is basically grain and malts, not really that strong. Taste is sweet, malty, with a mild bitterness towards the end. A very drinkable beer that works exactly as advertised, can have a few, and enjoy the game without getting wasted. I liked it not bad.
