Drinking this beer made me a bit wistful for the days when Red Hook was one of the better beers you could purchase in Georgia. Those days are long gone. Pours barely darker than a macro lager with light head. No discernible scent. Very faint sweet then bitter taste. Heavily carbonated to mask its utter mediocrity. Dan Patrick is one of the best sports analysts in the business. He should probably stay in his lane. Bottle at home. Pours clear copper/orange with a medium, frothy white head, medium retention with light lacing. Aroma is straw and meal malt, orange and citrus hops, apricot and peach esters. Flavor is crisp malt, light fruity esters, medium-light hops, medium bitterness and a dry finish. Medium-light body and medium carbonation. 22415brewery (379) - Washington, USA - AUG 18, 2013
Pours a light golden-copper, incredibly clear (as with most macros), and with average foam. Aroma is clearly Cascade hops that are somewhat restrained, the malt does not come forward in the nose. Flavor suggests at a touch of light caramel malt, but mainly clean american 2-row. There is very little hop flavor, however a smooth bittering that again is restrained. Light in body, flavor, bitterness, and finish. This overall is a very pleasant, drinkable, and unoffensive american pale ale, it however lacks in any outstanding qualities that would separate it from others. The 4.7% abv lies on the lighter side for most APAs and helps contribute to its sessionability, yet the hop flavor is one-dimensional and becomes quite boring. cmonster (1000) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 17, 2013
Bottle. Pours orange with a slight haze and minimal head. Caramelly with light hop presence on the nose and palate. Light-med body, creamy texture, and a light bitter finish. Jasond612 (282) - Phila, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 17, 2013
8/16/13 bottle from Troy. Nice golden color. Light taste and smell. Could be drank for hours. Why is Dan Patrick hawking this?

On tap at Millers Alehouse. Pours a cloudy gold with a small frothy white head. The aroma is citrus and honey. Thin mouthfeel with light honey wheat and sweet malt. Easy to drink, decent. Braudog (6710) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - AUG 9, 2013
Bottle. Pretty much a center-of-the-road pour ... copper, still, relatively normal topping. Drinks like a middling American beer, with a good sturdy body, and moderate but clean and well balanced character of metallic hop and firm malt backbone. One of 4 varieties of beers in the Red Hook 12 pack sampler I found on Yokosuka. Clear medium golden, a hint of orange, not much of a head to speak of. Light sweet malty aroma with plenty of floral aromatic hops. Crisp, grassy with a decent hop finish. As advertised, easy drinking, nothing special but when it’s in the 90’s and humid, certainly a good brew to go to! zoucrew102 (1869) - - AUG 6, 2013
Tap at powers OC COS. Very mild aroma with some grassy notes and a bit of hops. Pours light amber colored with a thin white head and no lacing. Very smooth refreshing pale ale with grassy flavors and a hint of hops on the finish.

Bottle from Super Target, Orlando, Florida. This is a light golden beer with delicate floral hoppy, honey and elderflower notes and a bitter-sweet finish.
