22 oz bomber bought from "Habits" in Salem.
Its actually a very pretty beer to look at. Deep burnished orange, clear, with a nice thick and creamy off white head.
Aroma is reasonably hoppy..more along the pink grapfruit aroma ..whiff of alcohol.
Very resiny hop profile to the taste..then the pink grapfruit aspect shows near the end. Slight bitter after taste.
Palte is OK but strangely watery for such a substantial style.
Overall its not a bad beer but pretty lightweight for the style . BOLTZ7555 (3027) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - MAY 27, 2010
Really nice, clean, drinkable IIPA. Nothing over the top but a thumbs-up to Red Hook for this one. 24 karat tangerine pour with a fluffy white head that left and intricate web of lacing inside the glass. Aroma is bright grapefruit, orange pith, lemon peel, and subtle caramel. Flavor is all citrus with hints of pine/resin, and honey. ABV is well masked...ample carbonation. robforbes (2246) - Bremerton, Washington, USA - MAY 29, 2010
pours a little hazy amber with a small egg-shell head, and good lacing.
smell is of grapefruit, caramel, some malt, and citrus.
taste is of grapefruit, hops, caramel, and a touch of pine, ends creamy and very bitter. Lagunitasfan (1323) - San Diego, California, USA - JUN 14, 2010
22oz bottle from Windy City Liquors, I think. Up at Lake Jennings just outside of San Diego for a weekend of car camping with my fam and my brother’s fam. Refrteshing and crisp. Strong head and floral nose. Good clean smack finish. I do enjoy me some IIPAs.

Nice amber pour with a thick cream colored head. Nose is bitter hops, very fresh florals, and pine. Not bad on the palate, flavor is faint bitter hops, florals, and a lineup finish. As it warms it gets really bitter. mcberko (18060) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 15, 2010
22 oz. bottle, pours hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of hops, pine, floral notes, orange zest and caramel malt. Flavour of hops, sweet caramel, pine and orange, with a mild bitterness that lingers. Very nice, though I could use a bigger hop punch. bb (9501) - Alamo, California, USA - JUL 20, 2010
Bottle. Rich amber beer with a cream colored head. Grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and light pine flavor with light rind. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and pine lingers with light caramel. Beerdrinker79 (2188) - Idaho, USA - AUG 7, 2010
22 oz. bottle into my "beer clean" snifter- Pours a clear orangish golden with a thin white head and good lacework ( is it because of my effort for an extra clean glass), aroma is sweet citrus like grapefruit. The flavor is malty, but not heavy malt ( I hate heavy malt), and hop citrusy, the hops are not over done, if possible. The bitterness lingers long after the swallow, which it should in a Imperial IPA, and the malt is there to compliment the hops, not overpower them. I have to wonder if the average to below average reviews here are because it is a Redhook/Anheuser busch product. Personally I don’t think it’s too bad. 22oz bottle. Rating #60. Bright orange/dark gold color with a thin white head. Lots of citrus and a bit of pine, but the fruit is the dominant aroma to me. Very smooth, light bitterness and a bit thin, light sweetness and a bit tropical. Not bad stuff. (1401)
