22oz Bottle: Clear copper color with a small off-white head. Aroma of apricot, orange zest, ginger and mild toasty hops. Strong bitter flavor with notes of musty flowers mixed with juniper berries and alcohol. Strong bitter finish that sticks around with a thin body. You can definitely feel the 8.6 ABV. fiulijn (20427) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 24, 2014

Amber color, clean. Quite fruity and resiny hopping, but with very strong vegetables component.
Pours a nice clear copper color. Great hop aroma. Not much head retention. Citrusy, a little piney and not really malty. Body is very thin and malts do not add much to the flavor. Nice bitter finish and a pleasant hop aftertaste. Very drinkable for the abv. Rusty (1547) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - JUN 2, 2010
Pours a copper with a medium white head. Aroma is hops caramel malt. Flavor is herbal bitter hops, malt, caramel, grapefruit. Finish is a bit harsh and bitter, but it seems a bit out of balance and I really don’t dig the hop profile. Still a decent IIPA. cstuartj (1020) - Washington, USA - JUN 28, 2010
Deep brownish yellow color, small to no head, nice lacing. Good hoppy nose. Clean bitter taste and lingering dry finish.

22 oz bottle. Clear light amber with a big rocky beige head that leaves some lacing. Aroma of biscuits, light herbal, citrus and floral hops and lighter caramel. Mostly sweet English malt flavors with a smooth mild bitterness, not much alcohol in the taste but there is a slightly metallic finish. Medium body, mild carbonation and a slightly watery mouth feel. Pretty good for Redhook, but tasted more like a strong ESB to me. GodOfThunder (1249) - Orlando, Florida, USA - JUL 22, 2010
Bottle, thanks to dchmela. Pours a hazy bronze. Strong bitter hop aroma. Thin and watery, but still has a nice flavor. Not bad. BMan1113VR (7931) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JUL 23, 2010
Bottle from 4/5/10. Pours with a hazy, nearly neon yellow body and a small white head. Good lace. Aroma of caramel, light citrus zest and pine. Some melon. Taste is light citrus, malt, caramel, plastic, sort of a mess of bitter (but not pleasant) flavors. Some citrus bitter and grassy, some caramel malt presence too. Lively bubbles. Some quinine in the finish (odd, first time I have tasted that in a beer). Meh. Beerona97 (2399) - Washington, USA - JUL 25, 2010
Pours mostly clear golden amber. Aroma of grapefruit, lemon and some copper. Taste is mostly bitter with a medium thin malt presence. Not terrible but lacking hop diversity and character. raphael (1240) - Portland, Oregon, USA - SEP 1, 2010
Hop aroma with a little more sweetness. malt with a hint of oranges, gets the citrus of the hop mixed with honeyed sweet, fine balance. clearest orange amber with modest off white head. sweet finish. like its too nice.
