Had at Cactus Moon servred on nitro. Head lasted forever. Thick foam hanging from sides of glass. A smooth pint. Come to think of it I had several.. One of Redhook’s better offerings. The nitro pour more than likely helped to boost this rating. Andrew196 (1903) - Katy, Texas, USA - NOV 13, 2001
I once smuggled a couple of these into school they were so good. If you like getting good head, buy this one. Very full-bodied, drink one with a big hunk of meat. Drew (2411) - Kent, Ohio, USA - FEB 17, 2002
dark, roasted coffee flavor. mouthfeell was surprisingly thin. above average porter. nstal (237) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUL 23, 2002
Full bodied, lots of flavor. Excellent Porter. TheBeerCollector (633) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - AUG 1, 2002
A tasty pint for sure. Looks as good as it tastes; dark, dark brown with decent head retention. Not for the casual beer drinker but a great example of the style.

I went to the brewhouse in Woodinville, WA about 6 months ago. They happened to have this as one of the 2 cask conditioned brews. Served at a pleasant temperature (not cold), this brew was just tremendous!
I have yet to try in the bottle so my rating is probably not accurate. But, if you happen to be in the NW, check out Red Hook in Woodinville to see what they have on CASK! gws57 (1276) - Saint Charles, Illinois, USA - MAY 12, 2004
Had this one bottled in Manhattan, New York. Tasty, best one from Red Hook I’ve tried. Thick and slightly smoky, has a coffee/nutty taste and a thick head. Not bad. sandygoonie (48) - Seattle, Washington, USA - FEB 1, 2006
