Pours hazy yellow with white head, aroma of a touch of esters, grassy hops, straw. Taste is some light fruit, grass, sweet pils malt, slightly dry finish. Not bad, but nothing really good about it. drowland (9186) - Georgia, USA - AUG 4, 2009
12oz bottle to a pint glass. Decent example of the style, but almost... dumbed down a bit to make it more drinkable. radagast83 (8624) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - APR 22, 2007
Bottle. Poured golden with a small whitish head. Aroma is a light amount of citrus and some hoppiness. Relatively refereshing. It is certainly not a bad beer, but there’s nothing spectacular about it. SudsMcDuff (8541) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - JAN 4, 2007
hey redhook, being the same old bas self you always are...no daring and clean socks....some faint lacing...strange old honey smell...muddled...not terrible, but lacks balls...hey, it’s redhook! DruncanVeasey (8478) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - NOV 1, 2010
Tap, Pour 24, Las Vegas, Nevada. Dusty yellow with a scant white halo. Heavy diacetyl aroma with underlying hop greenery and..banana? Fizzy and brain-chillingly cold with notes of lemon jelly, biscuit and butter. Some orange and lychee on the belch. Not loved or looked after. Probably much better than this.

Aroma - barely there - but it is fresh. Nice cloudy appearnce, thick creamy head, good lacing. Starts off with a bit-o-honey taste to it and then the hoppiness takes over in a pleasant and subtle way. Excellent mouthfeel - coats your mouth - thick. UPDATED: JUN 27, 2006 I have never been a big fan of this brewer. Sampled this one from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark golden color with a medium sized yellowish head. The aroma is lightly fruity and faintly sour. The mouthfeel is moderately thick. The flavor is sweet with a light grainy undertone and a slightly dry sour malt finish. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - OCT 31, 2007
Draft at the Woodinville brewpub. Pours crystal clear medium amber, almost indistinguishable in appearance and aroma from the Sun Rye. Scant white head. Neutral nose, very light body and attack--soft carb, and a sweet, almost corny body. No finish. Not much of a start or a middle, either, come to think of it. Head is initially small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is clear medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain), lightly hoppy (herbs, flowers), with a fairly strong note of DMS. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter, unclean. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. DMS-laden aroma with a dirty aftertaste, what more could you ask for? wlajwl (7212) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - APR 16, 2017
Easy to drink, mild malts and not much bitterness. Passable session, reminds me of college.
