OK, itís not *that* bad...well, it probably *is* the worse of the Redhook brews, but itís more drinkable than, say, Bud or Miller, or Fosters...of course, thatís not saying much! WabashMan (1024) - Noblesville, Indiana, USA - AUG 27, 2007
Oh, what a ghastly beer this is! So watered down, and lacking in flavor, that my third and, God willing, final bottle is almost assuredly a drain pour. scrizzz (2223) - Bothell, Washington, USA - OCT 10, 2007
yuck, skunky, wet dog, offensive. i had to pour it out. maybe goldens arenít my thing. ExpendableHero (916) - Florida, USA - AUG 15, 2010
Hazy golden beer with a small white head. Nice lacing effects, no real aroma here, mainly whiffs of caramel. The taste is bland, some caramel, hints of citrus/wheat. It was refreshing, high carbonation. Goes down smooth, but this was pretty boring. legion242 (2348) - Richardson, Texas, USA - OCT 26, 2001
No, youíre both boring.

UPDATED: JAN 19, 2006 Re-rate: I had this again Jan. 2006 and I must say this could have been the worst beer I have ever tasted. Horrible! Horrible! Drain pour!!
Yello color - very pale. Slightly wheat taste with no hops. KDorgan12 (169) - Memphis, Tennessee, USA - JAN 7, 2007
Bottle-Memphis. Gold body with white head. Tasted a bit skunky like I was tasting too much of the bottle from which it had been poured. MaBeer1972 (2036) - Taunton, Massachusetts, USA - NOV 5, 2003
Not very good. Medium golden color. Pours flat with little or no head (the bottle I have is only 3 months old). -Perhaps too long for this type of beer? Anyway, besides the carbonation problem, the flavor just doesn't do a thing for me. Give me a flavorful pale lager over this stuff anyday! This beer has very little aroma, flavor or head. Itís carbonated very lightly and has no malt sweetness or hop bitterness. It finishes clean, with no aftertaste. I guess this would be the Red Hook ale for the uninitiated. jgb9348 (6194) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - FEB 9, 2003
Barely gold in colour with a completely white head. Smells like water also. Tastes like metal with a hint of a hop flavour. No malt detected and barely a taste at all. Not a good beer.
