So someone brought a bunch of redhooks to the st.pats/maple sugaring party i attended recently and i sampled the redhooks during the next afternoon cleanup. Appropriate time for such beer - garbage time. This one is particularly pathetic. it smells like beer, but comes on like Killian's lite. Ugh. Especially not good foe use as a hair of the dog remedy.

Like an extra west coast pale ale, but soft, undefined hops.................

OK, it’s not *that* bad...well, it probably *is* the worse of the Redhook brews, but it’s more drinkable than, say, Bud or Miller, or Fosters...of course, that’s not saying much!

Oh, what a ghastly beer this is! So watered down, and lacking in flavor, that my third and, God willing, final bottle is almost assuredly a drain pour.

Hazy golden beer with a small white head. Nice lacing effects, no real aroma here, mainly whiffs of caramel. The taste is bland, some caramel, hints of citrus/wheat. It was refreshing, high carbonation. Goes down smooth, but this was pretty boring.

UPDATED: JAN 19, 2006 Re-rate: I had this again Jan. 2006 and I must say this could have been the worst beer I have ever tasted. Horrible! Horrible! Drain pour!! Yello color - very pale. Slightly wheat taste with no hops.

Bottle-Memphis. Gold body with white head. Tasted a bit skunky like I was tasting too much of the bottle from which it had been poured.
