Light Copper Color, Slight Head, No Lacing. Lightly malty and hoppy. Seems to be too carbonated and has some weird taste. Tried a couple of bottles on a couple of different occasions. It was hard to drink and did not enjoy it. Pass it...

Malty, lightly toasted, caramel, and crisp hop bitterness. Easy going but uneventful. Decent slugging beer.

12oz bottle. Clear pour, small bubbly persistent head. LIght honey color. Kind of ugly. Light, hay aroma. Very light taste, not too much in it. A little fizzy, just enough taste to be acceptable. Light body, little aftertaste.

Patrickctenchi (6472) - Coxs Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - MAR 22, 2013
Pours murky, dark yellow with a small, off-white head. Scent is lightly fruited, caramel. Taste is malty, berry flavour.....raspberry/blueberry....slightly bitter, chalky berry aspects. My rate seems to be a bit anomalous compared to others, but, thats what Im tasting...anyway, I think its pretty good....light, fruity, lively.

Mixed 12-pack of bottles from grocery store. Definitely copper in color. Minimal aroma, "neutral". Taste is almost sweet with a light finish. Not my favorite Red Hook product.

Bottle in mix pack. Just not doing it for me. I cant find the ESB anywhere anymore, and besides the longhammer, thats my choice from these guys.

Minimal nose. Caramel sweet palate with some malty taste. Goes down smooth but not very complex

VALIS (229) - Nashua, New Hampshire, USA - FEB 22, 2013
UPDATED: MAR 23, 2013 Aroma of corn, malt. Taste is oddly sweet, but also watery. Palate is nice and crisp, no bad aftertaste. Inoffensive food beer.

I thought I rated this, but now I will. I remember this as being a fairly decent beer with a fine caramel flavor yet nothing truly great. Apparently it wasnt memorable enough to rate at the time.

Light amber, very thin head. Taste is malty and a bit of caramel. Palate is a bit acerbic, a bit hoppy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
