2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20
You can taste a slight sweetness and has a light aftertaste. All and all it is a good refreshing beer, but I would prefer it to be a bit stronger.
Bottle from old backlog notes. Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have a basic malt profile, caramel, doughy bread, light fruit, herbal, thin and watery. wlajwl (6885) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - APR 16, 2017
Aroma and flavor is sweetish malts, mild tea and not quite enough hops/bitterness. andrewje41 (4021) - Kenmore, Washington, USA - NOV 23, 2015
A bit of a milestone beer for me since this is the 1500 beer rating from the US. I picked this beer because it isn’t the first beer I ever tried, but it is the first beer I ever truly enjoyed, when I had my first experiences with beer at the age of 21. I know. I started the beer thing late. Pours a clear copper color. Appropriately. Super smooth, easy drinking. Light body. I’ve always enjoyed this beer, and after a 2 year hiatus of trying this, I still enjoy it. Probably my favorite Red Hook brew, though a lot of that is owed to sentimental value. Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pint glass and a mug at different times and there was barely any difference between the two glasses.
The appearance was a nice hazy but clear amber color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated gently into the beer leaving some light slightly clingy lacing.
The smell had some light sweet caramel malts.
The taste took those malts and added a gentle crisp hop bitterness.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was somewhat smooth.
Overall, not a bad beer just not generally a go to for me. generallee08 (773) - New York, USA - JUN 24, 2014
The body has a dark golden almost coppery color with good clarity. On top an aggressive pour produced a tall foamy white head. It has good retention and makes some sticky lacing on the glass. There is a sweet candy like malts with notes of brown sugar and some herbal hops of in the distance. It has a candy like character with hints of caramel, brown sugar and white bread. Hop bitterness is mild and adds some spicy/herbal notes to the mix. The hops come out a little more towards the finish and give some more balance to the sweet malt up front. It has a medium body, soft carbonation and a smooth texture.

Appearance: no surprise, it is a copper colored ale. Pours about a 1 1/2" head that dissipates rapidly leaving moderate lacing. Moderate carbonation.
Aroma: mild aroma, smell of toasted grains and sweet malt
Mouthfeel: mouthfeel is watery and carbonated. Sweetness predominates but there is some mild hop to balance it. Finish is semi-dry.
Flavor: flavor is consistent throughout with a blend of malt and hops.
Overall: I really enjoy Copperhook and recommend it if you like session ales, Copper/Red ales, or if your palate runs more towards malt than hops.

355ml bottle. Pretty standard fare, this. Went down easy, pleasant taste, refreshing. Much like their pils, this was a good mealtime table beverage, rather than a sensory experience.

Starts tasty and finishes to weakness. Easily drinkable in the heat, but there are better options. I Luke the variety pack as a crowd friendly mix/match. Good, but far from great.

Bottle. This is a pretty generic amber ale without a lot going for it. Fine for partys and cookouts. bensonius (4) - British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 1, 2013 does not count
Pours a decent medium amber I wouldn’t call it copper.
Aroma is that of cooked tomatoes barely registers and aroma.
Taste has a slight bubblegum aspect if you really cycle some air through it while in your mouth. All around almost flavourless with a hint of bitter aftertaste... but not much. Fades to nothing after swallowing.
Overall would be good to chug after a hard days work. Nothing offensive, but nothing worth praise either.
