Aroma: Strawberries, fresh, sweet, some spices.
Taste: Alcohol is masked brilliantly. Medium-bodied, slight sweetness. Long aftertaste. Complexity in flavor.
Overall: An excellent bock. Strong but refreshing, fruity and complex.
(bottle - 22 oz - 2010 vintage) Dark copper pour with a thin tan head. Heavy sweet and complex malt and hop aroma. Flavor is incredibly sweet however. Tons of caramel malts and dark fruits. A light hop bite at the end. Alcohol still hot even after 5 years. echudy (151) - Massachusetts, USA - NOV 25, 2015
This was a bottle from 2010, aged five years. Smells incredibly complex, with hints of malt, cinnamon and almost a milky scent. A dark but brown color, with a decent amount of sediment at the bottom, and minimal head during the pour. Extremely smooth up front, with subtle cinnamon, malt and anis flavors. Light alcohol tinge on the after taste, and very sweet. Never had this before so I can't compare it to a newer bottle, but love the assumed smoothness from the aging. tnkw01 (1753) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 17, 2015
Bottle. Seems more like a Blond Doppelbock than a Eisbock. Dark gold in color with a small head. Aroma was malty, sweet aroma. Taste was sweet upfront, bitter aftertaste. TNT. slowrunner77 (11917) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 2, 2014
"sweetness hits the nose first. grainy, with a little alcohol, and burnt sugar, also present in the flavor. i’m admittedly not a big fan of the style or the brewer, but that said, this wasn’t half bad. not worth the premium price, but not something i’d turn down." Bottle from August 2010. Initially tastes like a barleywine. A bang on eisbock, I think the alcohol a lot higher. Almost like a vodka.

From notes verbatim on 10/12/10
A: Beautiful copper ale with continuous cylinder of bubbles from the bottom which dissipate at the surface. No lacing. No head.
S: Not impressive by any means. Sweet toffee, apricot. Very sweet.
T: Sweet, cucumber, toffee and grain. Still a bit hot.
M: Reminiscent of smooth liquor in warmth, not in genre lines. Numbs the tongue.
D: Okay, but not something I plan to revisit.

Bottle, shared on the bus at RBSG 2010. Forgot about this. Amber orange with a low, lacy head. Estery, jammy nose, caramel, cherry, some spiciness. Hot and boozy, sweet, caramel, fruits, esters. Too young, too hot. Ok.

Past its prime ? Nose was sweet molasses and dark fruit. Palate is really sweet to me. Almost like drinking molasses. A couple of other things going on like nice maltiness. Can’t really get over the sweetness. Also some alcohol burn to finish. laiti (8374) - Tampere, FINLAND - JAN 12, 2013

Sweet and somewhat syrupy aroma with fruits and caramel. Flavour is somewhat sweet with lots of caramel and fruity notes. Sweet and sticky, just as I expected. The sweetness is not the most disturbing kind though.
Bomber to snifter (thanks tmoney99). Looks good for the style; a semi-transparent brownish-orange with off-white lacing. Smells solid; sweet and malty. Tastes like it smells with a good mouthfeel. Enjoyable.
