Pours a honey golden with a thin white head......aroma of bread, caramel.....taste is centennial hop dominating with caramel late.

Copenhagen 5/12 2015. 12 oz (around 35 cl) bottle from Skjold Burne. Strange label with a lot of Hill tops and futuristic writing hollering "Red Hook". Pours hazy golden orange with white head. Settles as thin layer of foam. Lacing on the side of the glass. Sweet aroma of caramel and toffee. Sort of skunky. Low carbonation and creamy palate. Taste is overwhelmingly sweet. Caramel and sugary toffee. Aftertaste is a lingering sweetness. Way too sweet for me I am afraid.

No probs with this. Nice orange-amber with half finger of head. Strong malt taste and aroma, very sweet caramel with a bitter finish. Solid drinking.

Bottle 0.33l from Ipercoop supermarket in Muggia, Italy. Hazy orange liquid with unsteady head. Sweet smell. No bitterness in taste, but very sweet. Could taste a hint of bitterness in finish.

Honey/amber color, small white head. Aroma is malty heavy. Taste is also malty heavy and full of sweetness, fruity hoppiness but no bitterness... Anywhere. Medium body, soft carbonation. Weird. It appears this doesnt age well.

Bottigli da 12 oz. Colore ambrato schiuma pochissima bianca. Profumi lievotosi , lasciano spazio a caramello e agrumi. Al palato il debole amaro iniziale si trasforma in citrico astringente che lega il palato.

Redhooks signature beer that I have seen on the shelves for years, but never actually tried. Well, tonight is the night.

Bottle. Clear amber with a white head. Gentle aroma of bread crusts, peach, vague but pleasant and quite bright "other" fruit, mild spices. Just a little sweetness in the bread and biscuit malt, light floral and vague fruity notes. Quite dry and moderately bitter at the end. A little strong for what it offers, but decent enough.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 6/11/2015. Pours slightly hazy deep golden amber color with a 2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing cling down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of honey, light caramel, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, light pear/apple, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt, earthy hops, and light fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of honey, light caramel, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, light pear/apple, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of honey, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Good robustness, complexity, and balance of dark/bready malt, earthy hops, and light fruity yeast flavors; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Fair amount of dryness after the finish as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, lightly creamy/bready, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a good ESB style. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of dark/bready malt, earthy hops, and light fruity yeast flavors; and very smooth, clean, and easy to drink. This was a lot cleaner than I expected from the yeast character; but was still a nicely enjoyable offering, and fit the style well.
