Slightly hazy amber with solid carbonation and a white head that recedes quickly. Bready aroma. Nice mouth feel, sweet malt taste transitions to a very mild bittering. This is a refreshing beer, but it is lacking the depth and complexity of flavors expected of an ESB. It has no glaring faults; it just doesn’t stand up to the competition.

This stuff takes a beating in the ratings, but I find it pleasant. Pours a clear copper with thin white head. Aroma is biscuit and caramel. Flavor is similar with nice maltiness. It is a bit thin, and nothing like the wonder of Fullers, but it’s drinkable and nothing glaringly bad sicks out at me.

pours a cloudy orange gold with a small white head. aroma is light malt. Tastes like a lager with some hops. slightly bitter finish, but there’s some sweetness in there as well. Not in my wheelhouse.

Pours a honey golden with a thin white head......aroma of bread, caramel.....taste is centennial hop dominating with caramel late.

DraftDodger (1521) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 5, 2015
Copenhagen 5/12 2015. 12 oz (around 35 cl) bottle from Skjold Burne. Strange label with a lot of Hill tops and futuristic writing hollering "Red Hook". Pours hazy golden orange with white head. Settles as thin layer of foam. Lacing on the side of the glass. Sweet aroma of caramel and toffee. Sort of skunky. Low carbonation and creamy palate. Taste is overwhelmingly sweet. Caramel and sugary toffee. Aftertaste is a lingering sweetness. Way too sweet for me I am afraid.
