A great American hefe. Nice cloudy appearance, banana and spiciness apparent. Smooth finish, great experience. Have one at the Redhook brewery in Seattle. Gusler (2653) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - MAR 27, 2001
Earthy, chill hazed, citrus twang, and a decent dose of hops, works for me! Stove Top (43) - Kenmore, Washington, USA - JUN 15, 2001
A good nutty-bread aroma. well balanced ....a very drinkable and pleasant wheat ale - I disagree with the nomer that it is a german wheat. Tippie4 (97) - Auburn, Maine, USA - NOV 8, 2004
Tap, at the Redhook Brewery in Portsmith NH. I enjoy this lemony flavor with a hint of wheat to it. light refreshing great for those humid summer nights.

From old tasting notes. Cloudy, yellowish gold color. Big bubbly white head. Huge citrusy wheat malt aroma. Crisp, spicy wheat malt flavor has a peppery character that lays on the palate. roland (38) - Bellevue, Washington, USA - MAY 1, 2000
Red Hook makes a solid hefeweizen. Though my no means the best around I prefer it over Pyramid’s Hef. (another Seattle brew) Sammys (428) - Portland, Maine, USA - SEP 24, 2000
The weak point I thought was the aroma (weak), but perhaps it was just served too cold. Other than that this was a great Hefe. Not a Paulaner, but easier to find fresh.
