Pleasant mildly hopped IPA. Crisp and dry as the label says, but not as hoppy as I’d like. Rated 8/14/02 bhensonb (15967) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 6, 2006
Ripe apricot color. Hop, but not citrus, aroma. Hint of apricot flavor, prominent bitterness. Clean. Apricot followed by sweetness, finish is mildly bitter. Just a delight. Finish isn’t really dry, but seems to not be sweet either. Well balanced? Delightful. Borup (15942) - Albertslund, DENMARK - OCT 12, 2013

Bottle poured a clear golden amber with a small lasting off white head. Aromas of straw, light carmel, lemon rind and light earthiness. Palate was light bodied. Flavors of bread, straw, light carmel and a hint of citrus with a crisp lightly bitter finish. A very boring IPA!!!

Bottle. Cloudy golden color with large rocky white head. Aroma a good hoppy tone. Flavor small and dry with medium finish. Dogbrick (14309) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JAN 15, 2007
Pours clear amber with a thin white head that has decent retention. Thin, spotty lacing. Mellow aroma of hops and spice. Light-bodied with a mildly floral hops character. Light spices and malt are present too. The finish is not very bitter and it is on the dry side. Passable IPA that doesn’t bother much being interesting. Yellow fizzy ale with white head, which laced the glass nicely. Light malty aroma with barely any hops. Malty beer, almost like a lager or a Keith’s, very crisp, but without any of the expected hops. Oily mouthfeel. Bottle.CNY Brewfest Feb. 5 2005. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - JUL 4, 2005
In 1989, when this beer was still known as Ballard Bitter, and I was almost 21, this was my first microbrew. I was hooked, and eagerly awaited the opportunity to try it again should it ever move back East. My how times have changed!
(draft) Lightly hazed straw body topped by a white head. Aroma is meidum sweet, grapefruit, light biscuit. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, light biscuit, caramel. Light-medium body, some crispness. Good transition beer.
