Faint floral aroma. Taste is watery. Like hoppy, bitter water.I don;t mind bitter beers, but prefer those that dovetial the bitterness with more complex flavors. dflip (27) - USA - FEB 15, 2003
I enjoy Red Hook beers and this IPA is no exception. Nice golden color; not as hoppy as I would want in an IPA; mild bitter taste. I will definitely drink more, though. tmfi (27) - Gainesville, Florida, USA - APR 8, 2007
Pours a golden straw color with a pure white head very little carbonation present in the glass, smells good n hoppy, hint of citrus in both the nose and the flavorbut not overly sour like some american IPAs tend to be. Crisp clean mouth feel and a nice tang that lingers for just long enough to make you want another sip. nj4christ (26) - Columbus, New Jersey, USA - JAN 14, 2009
Golden color. Nice floral aroma. A little weak bodied and not too exciting. Perhaps a little too light, but a fairly goo IPA nonetheless. jclzony (25) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 2, 2005
It pours with a nice orange to amber color with a light creamy head. However, the use of the IPA label is only that. Its aroma and taste were small on the hops let alone close to the expectations one would have for a beer labeled as an IPA. It tasted more like a typically hopped ale.

Nothing really wrong with this version of IPA. On tap at the brewery it’s dandy. I buy it in bottles when on sale and enjoy it thoroughly. ilovetrappist (23) - Round Rock, Texas, USA - JUN 8, 2004
Gold with a reddish hue. Floral, hop smell. Spring herbal flavor as it first hits the palate and then turning to a bitter hop flavor but not as hoppy as an IPA should be IMHO. Light and a bit watery with a dry after taste. Overall a very average IPA without much character. mikeyj80 (22) - USA - FEB 1, 2003
Ratings might be a bit off, I drank this with a very spicy stew. The flavor was good, but lacked the mouth feel some better pale ales have. beerlamb (21) - USA - SEP 16, 2006
white head, golden yellow, clear, hoppy, wheat flavor. Good for a spring day. noattention (20) - California, USA - JUN 15, 2005
IPA’s are not to my liking, but I’ll drink it if I’m in town. Gotta support the local brews.
