I like Pale Ale and this is a good one. Not their signature beer, but I think it is their best. Smooth and nice finish

So far this is my favorite redhook. Probably cuz of the decent alcohol content. The taste is pretty good too...nice and bitter.

12 oz. bottle. aroma of piney hops and a mild caramel malt. excellent IPA. nicely priced at 9.99 a 12 pack, one of the more affordable mircos

Light hop notes evident in the aroma, with hints of pineapple. Small, mostly evaporating head nevertheless produces excellent lace. Dark yellow hue, quite a bit lighter in color than your average IPA. Light to moderate hops; mild in comparison to most IPAs. Very good and flavorful; not too strong. This is your wifes IPA.

I think this beer is a victim of an ugly label and widespread distribution, but when consumed next to Harpoons IPA, it was smoother and more well defined for the style. Consistent pour with decent head and citrusy/herby aroma. Not quite as much definition in the palate as the Harpoon, but the finish is much more pleasant even though its a little weak for an IPA. Very drinkable.

Nothing really wrong with this version of IPA. On tap at the brewery its dandy. I buy it in bottles when on sale and enjoy it thoroughly.

Another good beer from Redhook. Very nicely hoppy and yet still doesnt finish too drily. Light to medium bodied.

A good IPA. A little to citrusy for me, however, it sets up nice, great color and finishes clean. A good American IPA but not the best.

Cask at the brewery. Pours clear deep gold into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Tangerine and graham cracker aromas. Soft with sweet citrus and caramel upfront turning to a mild grapefruit finish.

I home brew most of my IPAs. But when I need a good, solid choice from the grocery store, Ill usually pick up Red Hook.
