Decent, not great ipa. Good hoppy nose with slight hunt of sweat citrus. Fairly dry finish with tingly mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours clear, light golden with thick head. Aroma is hops and light citrus. Taste is bitter hops with a faint note of caramel lurking. Finish is hoppy. It's an IPA, alright.

Bottle (backlog 2014). Clear golden body with a medium sized, dense off-white head. OK fruity aroma of peach and tropical fruit with just a hint of malt. Flavor is quite plain and basic mild IPA with fruit like aroma, mild malt, hint of caramel and some fruity bitterness. Medium body and moderate aftertaste. Easy drinkable, pretty straight forward.

Dead caramel and peach aroma. Hazy golden color. Sweet caramel taste with some hoppy notes. Medium body, average carbonation.

Backlog rating. Pours a clear gold with a finger of white foam that lingers. Citrus on the nose with pine and caramel notes. Bitter on the finish with a lingering pine character, overripe citrus.

12 oz. bottle. Pours pale gold with a white head. Aroma is caramel malt with faint citrus. Taste is similar. Very boring and bland for an IPA.

Backlog.

UPDATED: OCT 29, 2017 love, was my fave until they stopped stocking it here. piney, citrus, smooth, nice hops.

oobawa (1856) - Tennessee, USA - OCT 25, 2017
Cascade-heavy IPA, mixing citrus and pine without delving too deep in either direction. Caramel-laden malts seem far too prominent, while the bitter back end is mostly pine and hints of yeast. About as average as an IPA can get.

Bill Becker (2003) - Casper, Wyoming, USA - OCT 19, 2017
From Feb 2007 Pours from 12oz bottle a clear light gold with a smallish head of foam that shrinks quickly leaving just a fine layer with little lacing. The smell has some citrus hop nose to it but it's on the light side. The taste on first sip has good citrus hops, notably lemon, which is followed by some nice malty notes that make for a good balance, something that I didn't get from their original IPA.Further sips in and the balance continues with the finish becoming more aggressively bitter but overall, this is a very smooth and somewhat subdued sample of the style. It might make for a good introductory IPA to those wanting to try something new and are used to drinking Macros. I certainly can't see anyone being overwhelmed drinking this. ;^) Bottom line: A better product than their original and it has the potential to be a good cross over beer but, for me, it's not very exciting and not something I'd buy very often.
