An oldey but a goody. Great floral notes and an easy finish... You don’t find many IPAs like this these days.

UPDATED: OCT 29, 2017 love, was my fave until they stopped stocking it here. piney, citrus, smooth, nice hops.

oobawa (1793) - Tennessee, USA - OCT 25, 2017
Cascade-heavy IPA, mixing citrus and pine without delving too deep in either direction. Caramel-laden malts seem far too prominent, while the bitter back end is mostly pine and hints of yeast. About as average as an IPA can get.

Bill Becker (1908) - Casper, Wyoming, USA - OCT 19, 2017
From Feb 2007

Pours from 12oz bottle a clear light gold with a smallish head of foam that shrinks quickly leaving just a fine layer with little lacing.

The smell has some citrus hop nose to it but it's on the light side.

The taste on first sip has good citrus hops, notably lemon, which is followed by some nice malty notes that make for a good balance, something that I didn't get from their original IPA.Further sips in and the balance continues with the finish becoming more aggressively bitter but overall, this is a very smooth and somewhat subdued sample of the style. It might make for a good introductory IPA to those wanting to try something new and are used to drinking Macros. I certainly can't see anyone being overwhelmed drinking this. ;^)

Bottom line: A better product than their original and it has the potential to be a good cross over beer but, for me, it's not very exciting and not something I'd buy very often.

Bottle purchased in Birmingham. Thanks for the memories!

Tough bottle cap to get off.

Pours a clear golden color. Two fingers thick white head. Good retention, great lacing.

Aroma is lightly citrusy. Light lemon, light orange peel. Floral hops. Malts are not overwhelmed by hops. Meh.

Taste is lightly citrusy. Light lemon, orange peel. Medium bitterness. Hops overpower malts in the taste.

Mouthfeel is light-medium bodied. Pretty dry, medium bitterness.

Overall, it's okay. It's a mild IPA, not a lot of flavor. I think it's sort of boring. I don't think I would recommend it, and I wouldn't buy it again.

I bought this bottle of beer at the interspar, in the south of Verona. I drank it the last Sunday at home in Lausanne. I was not impressed by this IPA, even though, it is a drinkable one. In my opinion, it is a bit watery and more aromas or different hops could be welcome. The color is yellow/orange and a bit troubled, white foam, normal carbonation. The taste
is bitter, citrus, bitterness but that's strong than usual, malt hidden by the hop, not bad.

Gouden kleur met een goede kraag. Ruikt pilsner, mout koper. Smaakt bitterzoet, fruitig, pilsner. Veredelde pils.

camay1997 (75) - patton, California, USA - AUG 21, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 21, 2017 Thick white head on top of a hazy golden body. Not as aromatic as anticipated. Hints of pine, no more. Smooth and refreshing, it doesn't assault the palette with a hop aftertaste. I can hardly tell I'm drinking an IPA. very good, but not exceptional.

Bottle. Creamy feel. No outstanding floral or other flavors. Nice slightly bitter finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

8/VIII/17 - 12Fl. Oz. bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte) @ Help-Me-Get-to-10K-In-Time-Tasting 1 - BB: 5/VIII/17 or V/8/17, not entirely sure (2017-1182) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the beer!

Clear orange beer, small creamy white head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very soapy smell, floral, bit chemical, what is this? MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: very soapy flavours, soft bitterness, floral, pretty chemical, fruity touch in the back. Aftertaste: unpleasant bitterness, very harsh, bit resinous, some overripe fruits. Not very nice, this one. On from the looks of the other ratings, it seems it’s not just the age on the bottle...
