very neutral taste, not much distinctive about this... perhaps slightly Smokey and slightly bitter...that’s it Alexmestas (29) - - DEC 27, 2012
A beer that sort of calls out for a little more malt and alcohol. Nice top roast notes and sweet finish. More of a session beer than anything.

On draft poured a brown color, aromas of nuts, light cocolate, and some caramel. Medium mouthfeel, flavors same as aromas, with some earthness to it. hopdog (12510) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 25, 2012
12oz bottle. Poured an amber color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of some roast, grains, chocolate, and some licorice. Tastes of chocolate, roast, caramel, and nutty. Crash (532) - Macomb, Illinois, USA - NOV 3, 2011
Poured a resist brown with nice head and lacing. My wife said it didn’t taste like beer which means it was sweet and had very little after taste. Nice beer for summer or winter.

12oz bottle courtesy of Brass Tap Tampa. Pours a mostly clear brown with an off-white head. Nose is some mild chocolate, lots of nuts, some burned sugar, and some earth. Flavor is very nutty- roasted nuts, some toasted malts, and a hint of dryness in the finish. Light to medium in body, and not bad overall. AWMiller (512) - Mansfield, Texas, USA - SEP 22, 2011
Try this one… you’re gonna like it!! This brew poured up a clear, dark colored body (like cherry Dr. Pepper) with a creamy off-white colored head with good retention and marginal lacing. Aromas of sweet malts, caramel, toffee, dark fruits (prunes). Flavors are of the same but very robust and very well balanced with hints of rum or bourbon off and on. Medium-bodied, well carbonated, with a nice hit of hops for a slightly bitter finish and a lingering aftertaste of dark toffee candy. Definitely an easy drinker!! jb43 (1650) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - SEP 21, 2011
(bottle 6/6/11). Clear brown color. Medium off white head. Moderate caramel aroma. Same flavor. Avg duration. Smooth finish. Slick texture. Soft to moderate carbonation. Fair lacing. J_man (996) - Tustin, California, USA - AUG 19, 2011
Very heavy aroma of dark molasses and sour wood-aged notes. Beautiful medium amber body with a finely laced, persistent off-white head. The molasses follows through in the flavor along with a milk chocolate and light hazelnut flavor, along with a slight smokiness. This is a malty beer but there is some nice dry hop bitterness to balance out the sweetness. Leaves a creamy, chocolaty taste behind with a light charred wood aftertaste on breathing. The combination of flavors don’t quite work for me, but overall it’s a nice beer.
Just noticed the comments about food pairings in the description and I would definitely try this again with those suggestions. I think the flavors here might really integrate well with the food and make this beer sing. Lowe1983 (1592) - Dayton, Ohio, USA - AUG 7, 2011
Pours a copper color with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet with caramel malts and toasted malts. A little chocolate as well but not much else. Sweet aroma that is all malts and just about no hops. Caramel malts dominate with just a hint of chocolate.
