On tap. Poured a clear amber brown with a light tan head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma was full of sweet grains and chocolate with underlying notes of nuts and toffee. Flavor began with light chocolate, nuts and toffee that mellowed slightly to a dark grain and hay finish. BVery (11222) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - FEB 10, 2013

Rich amber color with a small off white head. Some burned sugar, light roast, and a bit of smoked almond aroma. Flavor is sweet and malty. Toffee, smoke, cashews. No real hop presence. Interesting. DocLock (10970) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 27, 2011
Bottle from Capone’s. Pours mahogany, clear, with 1-fimger eggshell head. Nose is malty, red winey fruit, berries. Tastes very malty, with vinous fruit, cacao, some hops, and an overall sweetness with a pretty smooth finish. cubs (10693) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUN 19, 2011
Bottle @ home. Burgundy appearance with a light tan head. Toffee, caramel, nutty, toasty, brown malty nose. Toasty, slightly nutty, a touch bitter, brown malty flavor. Not all that exciting of a beer but decent.

12oz bottle. Date on bottle reads 12/13/12. Clear red / orange brown color. Not really that brown. Minimal off-white head. Few bits and reaches of lace. Nutty, kind of figgy, caramel malt aroma. Medium body. More crisp carbonation, but not necessarily smooth. Above average sweetness, a bit out of balance. OK brown, not great... 3/9/11. 12oz bottle. Muddy, nut brown pour with a nutty brown head that muds away. Light nutty aroma that is slightly mud-dled. Nutty flavor that seems a bit metallic and dirty... but it’s wet, so I guess that’s... mud? Ibrew2or3 (8808) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - AUG 6, 2011
12oz bottle pours clear deep red-amber with thin tan head. The aroma has some roasted malts mixing with bits of caramel malts, chocolate malts, spicy hops and black licorice. The taste offers up notes of roasted malts, a pulse of sweet dark fruity esters and then rolling into spicy and earthy hops. Into the finish chocolate malts surface and then give way to a mild level of burnt malts off into the after taste. SudsMcDuff (8468) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - JAN 27, 2010
