Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Wegmans Leesburg. A light brown color with a small off white head. The nose has light nut, malt, and a touch of caramel. The flavor follows suit with a light, easy drinking body. Nothing spectacular, but certainly sessionable. BlackWarrior (203) - Spartanburg, South Carolina, USA - APR 11, 2013
12oz bottle...brown w/ruby highlights and lt tan half inch head that quickly dissipates to a ring..minimal lacing. Aromas are predominately malt - caramel, brown sugar, roasted...some earthy hops. Medium and smooth body w/ avg carb. Flavors are light milk chocolate and caramel w/ some vanilla. Overall solid and pretty tasty but nothing overly exciting. User134089 (1644) - - APR 25, 2013

Poured a mahogany brown color with two fingers of khaki tan head. Decent amount of sporadic and uneven layered lacing on the sides. Good retention all the way down.
Smelled roasted caramel notes first. Also nuts, toast, toffee and faint bitter chocolate notes. Had me wanting to come back for more.
Not as much flavor in the taste like the nose. Roasty caramel, toffee, chocolate milk and nuts with bitterness hanging on the tongue after.
Medium body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Average carbonation. Slightly bitter, but still smooth finish.
This beer had its moments, but it was missing something. A bit more flavor I would have rated it higher than a 3.5 (which may have a bit generous). wlajwl (7003) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - MAY 3, 2013
Aroma is caramel malts, toffee and mild nuttiness. The flavor is caramel malts, light toffee, mild nuttiness and a medium sweet finish. RobertDale (6751) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - MAY 27, 2013
Sample at Hopfest 2013. Comes reddish brown with a decent tan head. Aroma of malt, caramel, and chocolate. Taste is caramel malt, chocolate, fruit, and a touch of hops. Light and easy to drink.

Bottle pours reddish brown color with fluffy creamy tan head Nice lacing on glass head that hangs around for awhile. Smells earthy with subtle baking chocolate and coffee aroma lingering around. As it warms up toffee smell is present. Tastes sweet and smooth. Medium body that coats the tongue. Good carbonation. Small hop flavor at the end. Decent session beer that is easy drinking. Definitely gets better as it warms up. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - JUN 25, 2013
Hazy brown pour with a white head. The aroma is full of toffee and dark fruit. The flavor is similar. I get a bit of chalky chocolate notes, as well as some grass, grapes and toasted malt. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Sledutah (7788) - Utah, USA - JUL 10, 2013
12oz stubby bottle picked up at The Grapevine foyle (424) - Wyoming, USA - JUL 21, 2013
Pours clear dark brown with a small beige head and some lacing. Aroma of toasted malts, caramel and nutty. Flavors of caramel, toasted malts, chocolate and nutty
A decent brown ale.
Appearance: pours a healthy 2” beige sudsy head that recedes slowly. Good amount of lacing. Color is mostly clear light brown with moderate carbonation. Looks much like a glass of Coca Cola.
Aroma: fairly mild aroma. There is fresh water and bread dough with some chocolate malt.
Mouthfeel: light to medium bodied, somewhat dry finish.
Flavor: medium roasted malts are the dominant flavor with chocolate, coffee, and toffee notes being evident. There is a mild, but noticeable, hop bitterness in the finish. trujahwarrior (510) - Monroe, Washington, USA - AUG 9, 2013
12oz stubby bottle pours a semi hazy mahogany color with a medium khaki head that leaves good lacing. Smells of caramel and nuts and light barley malts. Tastes of the same things that are in the smell with a touch of chocolate. Mouthfeel is thin and watery with decent carbonation. Overall its pretty ho hum. Just another run of the mill brown ale. I like last years nut brown better.
