Redhook Pilsner is brewed in a traditional Czech style and is the first pilsner Redhook Ale Brewery has ever released. Red Hook Pilsner offers a very soft palate and malt flavors that are offset by a medium dose of distinct Czech hops to bring out its authentic flavors. The refreshing beer finishes with a clean, bright, thirst-quenching quality. Red Hook Pilsner pairs nicely with barbecued chicken, bratwurst, spicy food, fresh fish, and green salad. Gold pour. Aroma Is light. Straw and grass. Flavor is equally light. Very usual.

djd07 (15293) - Houston, Texas, USA - AUG 9, 2010
Bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow gold with a small frothy off white head. The aroma is a sweet fruit malt with citrus. Thin mouthfeel with a bitter green olive and horrible finish. Hard to put down, a very bad Bohemian pils from Redhook.

thornecb (5995) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - AUG 7, 2010
Pours clear golden yellow into a shaker. Sickly white head recedes to hug rim. Winey hay aromas. Crisp sweet caramel upfront turning flat before a dry, bitter lasting finish.

MrBunn (2841) - The Wet Side of a Dry Town, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 7, 2010
Bottle. Pours a fairly clear gold with a dense finger of head and grain silo aromas, with a little bit of an appley fruitiness. Flavor is fairly full... kind of a cream of corn sweet grain presence with pear and apple fruit and a grassy hops in the finish. Pretty nice in the summer.

EKGoldings (665) - Radford, Virginia, USA - AUG 6, 2010
Not a bad beer .. no fresh Pilsner Urquell but better than the PU that is too old/light struck in the green bottles. Unoffensive American style lager.

Ron (4064) - Rochester, New York, USA - AUG 5, 2010
Pours a clear gold with minimal head. Aroma is bready grain, grassy, lightly peppery. Lightly metallic. Fruity taste at first, clean grain, fruity hops. Pretty decent little pils actually. Light and crisp.

thegreenrooster (4490) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - AUG 4, 2010
Pour is a cloudy gold with a average white head. Aroma is hard to detect. Maybe some malt not much else. Flavor is a little better and starts out with a nice bready malt. Finish is kinda watery and thin. This is ok but not great and deserves a better rating than some gave on here.

kidmartinek (5001) - austin, Texas, USA - JUL 31, 2010
There are some good attributes about this beer but they dont outweigh the bad. It pours rich golden with a satisfying, large white head. The aroma is sharp and has a srong malty character with maybe a little bit of corn. The taste is mostly thick malt with a tiny bit of hops on the finish. They’re definitely trying to appeal to the mass market drinkers here. The body is somewhat congestive. There is a potato-like aftertaste, but at least the lacing is good.

PorterPounder (8185) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUL 31, 2010
Tallahassee, Fl - Publix Supermarkets - 12 oz bottle. Medium golden pour, decently thick sticky white head. Aroma is buttery with some butterscotch accents. Flavor if more full-bodied than expected. Malt oriented flavor with some buttery notes and a sweet hint of butterscotch. A bit of saaz hoppiness permeates the back end. Crisp mouthfeel, overall a decent pils and a solid summer refresher.

Pershing (568) - Garland, Texas, USA - JUL 29, 2010
Clear light gold with a decent white head. light hop bitterness with some malt. finishes clean and slightly dry. An excellent summer beer.
