Redhook Pilsner is brewed in a traditional Czech style and is the first pilsner Redhook Ale Brewery has ever released. Red Hook Pilsner offers a very soft palate and malt flavors that are offset by a medium dose of distinct Czech hops to bring out its authentic flavors. The refreshing beer finishes with a clean, bright, thirst-quenching quality. Red Hook Pilsner pairs nicely with barbecued chicken, bratwurst, spicy food, fresh fish, and green salad. ~Subtle bready malt aroma with slight sweetness and some melanoidins. Hops are very floral and lightly spicy. ~Pours hazy light golden color with small white head that quickly disappears. ~Bready and biscuity malt character with spicy hops. Very well balanced. ~medium light bodied with medium high CO2, clean spicy hop finish. ~I normally don’t like Czech Pils. This is by far my favorite. Would gladly buy and drink again.

I like this! Very drinkable beer. I could enjoy this all afternoon on a warm day. Perhaps it’s a bit too mild but beers like this have a time and a place.

I picked this up in the bottle at Total Wine in Henderson, NV. Very water downed pilsner, very faint malt and hop notes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle in Kaua’i. Bright gold, good foaming top. Faint flowering shrub, beeswax aroma. Bit drab and almond-like with a shave of zest. Low bitterness, little hop, zero malt. Drab, a touch metallic, nothing like a pilsner.

mkgrenwel (619) - North Shore, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 10, 2012
Golden straw pour. Thin force-carbonated head. Aroma of biscuits and apple. Light malty character with very little hops. Could use some bitterness or hop flavor beyond just enough to balance. As a helles or vienna I would probably like this a good bit more. No problematic flaws. Ultimately a pretty good sessionable lager.

maley1 (1297) - Calgary, CANADA - SEP 10, 2012
Bright clear yellow pour with medium sized white head. Aroma of hay, slightly floral. Taste of sweet malts, yeast, slightly fruity and a slight hop finish. Nice and crisp mouthfeel and very refreshing, highly drinkable. Very good pilsener.

robforbes (2246) - Bremerton, Washington, USA - SEP 8, 2012
had as a rope swing. pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. smell is of some grain, lime, some lemon, and a touch of floral. taste is crisp, clean, some yeast, sweet malt, and citrus. ends nicely refreshing.

DalzAle (2037) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA - SEP 1, 2012
Bottle. Clear dark yellow pour, almost no head and a slightly sweet pear aroma. Flavor is light hay, white grapes, pear and slightly sweet on the aftertaste. Not bad.

sawbuck (743) - Round Lake, Illinois, USA - AUG 20, 2012
Pours a bright gold...thin head...aroma barely there. Surprised by a crisp flavor up front, hay with notes of slight caramel and slight bitter finish. Thin texture with livley carbonation.

Radek Kliber (7369) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - AUG 13, 2012
Virginia Trip – bottle 355 ml
Aroma not very pilsner like. Grainy basic notes, touch of green apple.
Appearance bright golden look with medium foamy top (short lived).3-
Flavor and Palate : Green apple, lacking body. Mineral feel at mid. Some malty sweetness behind. Felt macro like. Finishing hints of cardboard. Disappointing.
