Redhook Pilsner is brewed in a traditional Czech style and is the first pilsner Redhook Ale Brewery has ever released. Red Hook Pilsner offers a very soft palate and malt flavors that are offset by a medium dose of distinct Czech hops to bring out its authentic flavors. The refreshing beer finishes with a clean, bright, thirst-quenching quality. Red Hook Pilsner pairs nicely with barbecued chicken, bratwurst, spicy food, fresh fish, and green salad. Golden pour with a white head. Bread and slight biscuit aroma, some floral hops, yeast, and a light grassiness. Apple esters, a bit watery/bland, and perhaps some citrus zest. Flavor is malty and sweet. Bread, slight toast, and biscuit. A bit of yeast, apple and pear esters, and some very light floral hops. Mild grass bitterness, some water, and very mild citrus zest.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow gold with a small frothy off white head. The aroma is a sweet fruit malt with citrus. Thin mouthfeel with a bitter green olive and horrible finish. Hard to put down, a very bad Bohemian pils from Redhook.

MiP (16054) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JUN 9, 2013
Bottle, 5.3%. Faint papery aroma. Clear shiny golden colour. Small white head. Papery flavour at first, but nicely malty. Dusty later with a faint spicy hop note. At first not so good, but after a while quite OK.

Bomber from Grocery Outlet in Auburn, CA. Pours brassy gold with a 3 finger foamy white head. There’s a non-descript hop aroma. Med body. It’s bready, and there’s not a lot of hop. It’s just barely bitter. Still, it’s a pleasant drink. Goes down like water. Not comparing it to the watery mainstream brews, just saying it drinks very easy. I’m gulping it down. And I’m beginning to think there is a lot of hop - but not really bitter. Though it seems to be getting more bitter with time. Ok. It’s a decent beer.
