Draft. Clear golden pour with a medium white head. Mild aroma of grass and grain. Flavor is watery with grassy and bready notes along with grain, biscuit, and mild hops. Light, fizzy mouthfeel and not a lot of flavor. thornecb (5916) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - AUG 7, 2010
Pours clear golden yellow into a shaker. Sickly white head recedes to hug rim. Winey hay aromas. Crisp sweet caramel upfront turning flat before a dry, bitter lasting finish. topherh (1928) - Kearney, Missouri, USA - SEP 28, 2010

Tasted from a cool 12oz bottle into nucleated pint glass. It poured a clear golden color with sudsy white foam, somewhat lasting with a little lace. Very mild aromas of grass, pils malt, marshmallow sweetness, light black pepper yeast phenols, very faint spicy noble Saaz hops. Nearly neutral flavor as well, balanced but subtle malt sweetness and hops bitterness. Light-medium body, a little fuller mouthfeel than your average pale lager. A little grainy with some mineral hardness, but that’s true-to-style. Crisp and refreshing lager snap, dry finish. Not as smooth as classic German examples, but better by far than American macro light lagers. JoeMcPhee (9427) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 28, 2012
Pale straw colour with a tight white head. The aroma is fairly clean and slightly crackery with a touch of soft zesty hoppiness. Clean and fresh although it could always be hoppier. A little bit of light straw malt flavour. Simple if decent. blutt59 (6564) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAY 13, 2010
bottle, golden color with fine wipsy foam, aroma is dry bready cardboard, flavors of lemon, stale tropical fruits, paper, slight hoppy finish blindeyedbetty (189) - Utah, USA - JUN 14, 2010
12 oz. bottle pours clear goldenrod yellow with fuzzy head which leaves healthy lacing. Appearance of high carbonation as it sits. Aroma of grass and oats with lemon oil. Palate is simple with sweet malt and blossoms followed by mild hoppiness. Mediocre offering from Redhook, but easy to drink and could be a nice, easy segue to micros. Easy to down a few with early summer grill fare. EKGoldings (664) - Radford, Virginia, USA - AUG 6, 2010
Not a bad beer .. no fresh Pilsner Urquell but better than the PU that is too old/light struck in the green bottles. Unoffensive American style lager.
