Not a bad showing from the Woodinville Redhook. A very well made Bo Pils, sparkling clarity, good head and nice Saaz spicy aroma. No major flaws, however finishes a tad toward the sweeter end of the spectrum. Body is appropriate for the style with good carbonation and mouthfeel. Crisp maltiness shines through especially in the finish. A very good domestic BoPils. ChainGangGuy (4909) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - MAY 17, 2010
UPDATED: MAY 25, 2010 12 ounce bottle - $1.49 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia. Bottle on: 04-22-10.
Appearance: Pours a crystal clear, yellow body with a smallish, fizzly, white head.
Smell: Aroma of pilsner malts accented by a pervasive grainy character and teensy hint of honey. Also noble hop notes of dehydrated grasses and spice.
Taste: Pils and pale malts with a pointed graininess to it. Mild cereal sweetness, like a taste of Golden Crisp. Floral, grassy, lightly spicy Saaz hop character with a decent pinch of bitterness. More graininess and grassiness on the dry, reasonably crisp finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-high carbonation. Fairly soft mouthfeel.
Drinkability: Goes down easy enough, I suppose. A little more graininess than I’m looking for in a pilsner, but otherwise it’s acceptable. Beerdrinker79 (2188) - Idaho, USA - JUL 10, 2010
12 oz. bottle- Pours pale golden with a nice creamy head with tons of tiny little bubbles and beautiful carbonation bubbles floating to the surface, lacework is nonexistent. Aroma is crisp clean hops and some grain. The flavor is sweet mellow and somewhat grainy, a little hops come through as well. I was not expecting much from this brew, but if you rate it for what it is, it’s actually not bad, good session brew. PorterPounder (8185) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUL 31, 2010
Tallahassee, Fl - Publix Supermarkets - 12 oz bottle. Medium golden pour, decently thick sticky white head. Aroma is buttery with some butterscotch accents. Flavor if more full-bodied than expected. Malt oriented flavor with some buttery notes and a sweet hint of butterscotch. A bit of saaz hoppiness permeates the back end. Crisp mouthfeel, overall a decent pils and a solid summer refresher. Thanks to Steve V. for this one, rated while we were brewing up a couple of batches for his daughter’s wedding. Light pils malts, on the nose, some floral hops. Flavor matches. Clean. Not a brilliant shot of flavor, but a nice little beer.

12oz bottle. Filtered yellow-tan. Bubbly, soda-like carbonation. Mellow, doughy, inoffensive non-aroma. Light to medium bodied, refreshing. Not quite Bohemian, but still pretty well done. Light peppery hops. Doughy, bitter bread tones. Nothing to get too excited about, but a respectable enough session beer. scooterbub (1067) - Lander, Wyoming, USA - NOV 19, 2011
12 ounce bottle. Pours a hazy golden yellow with a decent on inch white head that slowly fades. Taste is of malt, honey, yeast, grass and some hops. Similar, but slightly cleaner aroma. Has a nice full body that is wet and finishes slightly bitter. Easy to drink, enjoyable and quite satisfying. I wouldn’t mind having this again. Also, kudos on the cool bottle.
