Redhook Pilsner is brewed in a traditional Czech style and is the first pilsner Redhook Ale Brewery has ever released. Red Hook Pilsner offers a very soft palate and malt flavors that are offset by a medium dose of distinct Czech hops to bring out its authentic flavors. The refreshing beer finishes with a clean, bright, thirst-quenching quality. Red Hook Pilsner pairs nicely with barbecued chicken, bratwurst, spicy food, fresh fish, and green salad. Pours a crystal-clear straw color, aroma is light and crisp. Flavor is mild, with a good hint of those saaz hops. Pretty solid.

Bottled. Golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is bready malts, some grass and herbs. Flavour is bready, caramelly, floral, grassy and quite herbal as well. As it warms up a bit also some mild grainy notes.

clear gold pour. Aroma slight sour wheat. Tastes buttery wheat. mineral palate.

Bulk_Carrier (6064) - Vermont, USA - JUL 29, 2014
Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pilsener. The appearance was a soft golden yellow color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about thirty seconds. There was barely any lacing. The smell had a slight sweet corn to it. The taste followed the nose. On the palate, this one sat pretty light and came across pretty sessionable. The carbonation was somewhat sharp. Overall, decent pilsener. It does the trick as a pilsener but it’s not a standout.

Hazy gold beer, little white head. Light crisp palate. Minerals. Clean malt but not that lagerish. Forensic trace of hops. Light floral note. Crisp finish. Fine but really needs another dimension.

Sample at DØE 2013. Clear golden colour with a white head. Aroma and flavour of malt, hops and some bitterness.

zacgillbanks (5651) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - SEP 28, 2013
Bottle from Glug, Newcastle. This is a golden beer with a sweet malty and toffee flavour, slight grassy notes and a sweet finish.

SDalkoholic (2444) - Linda Vista, California, USA - SEP 24, 2013
Bottle from Bobar: Created a fluffy layer of foamed head while the liquid was a sparkling golden blonde. There’s a nice balance of grassy hops and malts that smell good considering this is a pilsner style. The drink was simple, with a subtle flavor of grainy barley malt and a slight notice of European hops. This is a refreshing beer on a hot day near the end of summer in mid September.

gunnfryd (15483) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - SEP 8, 2013
Bottle. Deep golden colour with a white head. Aroma is fruit, malt, hop, grain. Flavour is fruit, malt, hop, grain, grass. Medium body. Ordinary beer.

geologyguy (1687) - Columbia, South Carolina, USA - AUG 19, 2013
slightly citrusy smell, taste is what you would expect from a pilsner with some bitterness and slightly malty/sticky finish
