This would rate slightly better in the "light lager" category.
Clear amber with one finger of white rapidly receding head. No lacings that stay. Sweet malts with a soapy somewhat bready character. Slight bitter almost sour finish. Mouthfeel is alright cold. I would almost prefer a Silver Bullet if I have to go light. Even better a S.A. light lager. SSSteve (4006) - - MAY 2, 2009
12oz bottle. clear gold. very bubbly under a small white head. candy, malty, sugary aroma. flavor is malty(sugary dough, cereal) with light tangy hopping and light sweetness. light body. crisp wheaty finish. an excellent golden ale. dwyerpg (6493) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - APR 28, 2009
Smells like a malty pale lager, looks the same. Mostly this doesn’t seem much like an ale at all to me, more like a bad pale lager. Quite a bit of malt up front, a thin finish. There’s a slim chance I’ll buy this again. mcox90 (2159) - Wilton, New Hampshire, USA - APR 26, 2009
12 oz bottle. Pours a pale yellow with a 1/4" white head. Aroma is corn, grains and some malt. Palate is thin and watery. Flavor is mild malt with some fruit characteristics. Pretty bland. Came as part of a brewers choice 12 pack I bought. It’s a slim chance I’ll drink another. Bockyhorsey (2638) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - APR 23, 2009
12oz bottle. Man pale corn aroma with some bitter. Yellow body with white head that disipated quick. Flavor of grain and corn. Not much of a light beer rather filling. Uck wish I would of got mine for free.

From the backlog, this was being given away at El Bait Shop a little while back, so free rate whoot whoot! This pours a clear golden color with a small head and a little lace. The aroma is citrusy and doughy. The flavor is very light, citrusy, and mildly spicy. The flavor altogether is wholly inoffensive but very faint; this is a very light ale. chandler0201 (650) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - APR 22, 2009
Yellow pour with small white head. Fruity notes in the aroma, slight sweetness. Medium carbonation and metallic mouthfeel in taste. Mediocre at best. beerguy101 (5364) - Newark, California, USA - APR 21, 2009
Sampled on 4/21/2009. This light/blond ale pours a medium yellow gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and grassy, touch of sweetness. A light bodied blonde ale, designed as a light beer. The malts are grassy, fruity and slightly sweet. The hops are slightly spicy and grassy. The description of this beer as a light blond ale fits this beer fairly well. It has some flavors but they are so light it’s hard to figure out if this beer is good or bad. It’s a hot day here so it doesn’t taste all that bad. Kinda fizzy, but light and refreshing. If you want something low in alcohol that still has some flavor this might be a good choice. Mouthfeel is a touch thin. Finish is crisp and dry. Rather nice really. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. zach8270 (4021) - Henrietta, New York, USA - APR 19, 2009
(bottle - 12 oz) Clear gold color with a fizzy white head. Aroma is sweet and malty with some dry grass. Flavor begins with a sweet bubblegum flavor then quickly turns bitter and dry with hints of stale hops, grass, hay, and dry malts. Watery and dry. robforbes (2277) - Bremerton, Washington, USA - APR 17, 2009
