(bottled 4/29/03, consumed 6/14/03): Particle-filled cloudy yellow with small off-white head. Aroma is sweet, wheat, slightly grassy, faint rye. Taste is mild grainy, sweet, finishing fairly innocuous grassy. Pleasant medium body. Lubiere (13780) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 8, 2008
A lightly hazed blonde with a thick white head. A grainy rye aroma. A watery grainy beer, with light honey, no character. Blaaahh! Flour City brewfest, August 15 2008. BeerandBlues2 (13210) - Escondido, California, USA - AUG 22, 2004
Pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Some lacing. Aroma is citrus, hop, and a hint of rye. Taste is bitter, a little tart like citrus. Palate is metallic, crisp, and dry. Dogbrick (12921) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAY 31, 2003
I figured this for a lawnmower-type beer so I had one after mowing the lawn. Pours a yellowish-orange with a medium off-white head. Aroma of rye and yeast. Rather thin-bodied, and to me it tasted like a macro with some rye thrown in. The rye aftertaste saves it from being a drain pour but this is still a below-average beer.

Gravicask, one-third pint. Slightly unclear golden body. Naked surface. Discreet aroma of lemony hops. Sweet fruit-grainy flavour. Thin and rather unvaried (GBBF, 05.08.2009). jcwattsrugger (12418) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - OCT 8, 2007

At the Old Toad. I like the taste of rye, and like it normally in beer, but it did not work out in this case. This beverage had head, lace, mouthfeel was creamy as if wheat, and good hops. Cloudy wheaty appearance. Just not all that tasty nor drinkable. shrubber85 (11324) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - JUN 22, 2007
Bottle. Lemongrass malt aroma. Medium yellow color with small head. Very light taste of rye malt is about all you get from this flavorwise with a mild hops finish. Nothing offensice - just very weak and bland. hopscotch (11049) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - AUG 11, 2003
Mostly clear, sunshine gold brew. Small, frothy white head.
The nose is yeasty with leather and apricot notes.
Mild citrus and butterscotch flavors. A bit thin. Dry rye notes.
Light-bodied with a watery mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation. Short, crisp, clean finish. I guess I'll go against the grain here and hand out a good score. Great beach beer! It is what it is... a very light ale.
