Introducing Redhook Sunrye, a light, refreshing summer beer brewed with six barley malts, including a touch of organic rye. The opalescent golden color of Sunrye is a result of its unfiltered nature. Light and crisp, this brew was made for slaking summer thirsts.

Pretty drinkable, but uninspiring. Dark straw color with very little head. Sam Adams Summer Ale is much superior flavor wise.

maxwelldeux (4433) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - JUN 10, 2014
Draught at the brewpub. Pours a clear dark golden color with a small white head on it. Nose has some light grains in there, but very little else coming off it. Taste is very slightly sweet, and comes off as almost a lager. Almost nothing to like (or overtly dislike) about this beer, to be honest.

Cask at GBBF. Slightly hazy gold beer. Mild grassy and spicy hops with a dry finish.

DialSquare (5188) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUL 12, 2011
From an old rating note - mainly just have a score for this. Only notes are grain and bland. Needless to say, I don’t need to seek it out again.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear yellow body with a medium sized white head. The aroma is light pale malts, slightly herbal, with a splash of lemon citrus. The flavor is grainy pale malt with slight sweetness, a splash of lemon citrus, hints of spicy hops and not much else. Light to medium body. This was low average at best.

arminjewell (9729) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - OCT 4, 2010
Pours golden with white head, aroma is a touch of grain, biscuit, with a hint of spice. Much like the summer brew, not much to it, a bit of rye spice, biscuit sweet malt and a clean finish.

tokyogoat (1503) - San Diego, California, USA - SEP 12, 2010
Pours a pale straw yellow, nose is mildly spicy and grainy, taste is bland and grainy.

2007: Looks like your average B/M/C fare. Light piss-yellow. Only difference is a full half finger of head. Transparent, light carbonation. No lace. Scent is a three-headed monster of wheat, orange and ale. Not like a witbier. Light but nice. Orange/wheat combo dominates. Nice ale flavor with wheat and orange bringing up the rear. It’s an ale first, but with a dash of a wit. Light and fruity. Feels thicker than an ale. Less light than it looks. An ale with some extras. Sweet but based in sweet/yeast beer. Refreshing.

Snojerk321 (2984) - San Diego, California, USA - FEB 15, 2010
12oz bottle from BevMo. Pale golden color pours with a thin white head. sweet grainy nose. the sweet smell of rye is there. very light grainy flavor is clearly made for summer drinking. the finish has just a touch of grassy hops. mediocre.

Ethereal (2471) - Los Angeles, California, USA - DEC 30, 2009
Cask at GBBF 2009, 4th August 09. Slightly hazy gold with little head. Nice papaya aroma. Hop flavours hit the front of the mouth, rye flavours linger at the back of the tongue. Very refreshing - a good summer beer.
