Brown color. Hops are there but clearly faded. Medium sweet Some brown sugar. A little dry in the finish.

A pretty good barley wine. Less sweet than I like and slightly hoppier than I’d expect. Good, but I wouldn’t take this over other barley wines.

"an average barleywine through and through. some nice use of caramel malt and hops, with a thinish body, but slightly richer flavor and aroma. an average BW though, is a better than avg beer. nothing unexpected."

22 oz. bottle shared by Tmoney99 (from notes). Pours a clear dark amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor had caramel, toffee, herbal and mildly spicy hops, some ripe fruit character and a hint of chocolate. At times comes off a bit harsh.

Bottle from Bev Mo: Created a thick cushioning of foamed head where as the liquid was a dark honey like color. My nose detects floral scented hops, raisin or figs, and a thick base of caramel styled malts. The flavor comes across bland and quite boring which makes it harder to describe the flavor other than the fact that there is a minor tasting of sweetened caramel. There is some resin left behind along the base of the mouth and lips that does have similarities to figs and dates, but this falls short of being a solid barley wine. The only thing I liked about this beer was the high alcohol content and that’s about it.

This bottled brew from rbsg #18 poured a large sized head foamy with a frothy top of fine to large sized bubbles that left behind a transparent copper brown colored body. The mild aroma was hoppy floral malty and vinous. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish. The nice flavor contained notes like a typical barley wine with banana hops and malt. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again.

Hazy copper color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of sweet malt, caramel/toffee, hops, & some fruit; Flavor of slight sweet malt, caramel, hops, citrus, and spice; Finish is slightly tangy/sour; Overall, flavor was off on this one.

halfonit (1412) - Fall River, Massachusetts, USA - AUG 17, 2012
Poured a clear, red amber color with a small, off white head that left no lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, pine, and caramel malts. Taste of citrus fruits, cherry candy, caramel, with a bit of a tinny, alcoholic finish.

reggiedunlop (3726) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 30, 2012
Pours clear amber with a thin white head. Aroma has nice candied fruit and light caramel. Flavor has candied fruit and decent hop notes...bitter...almost a bit of oak and leather. Mouthfeel is full and smooth with a nice dry biteer/candied fruit finish.

berrya785 (441) - Kansas, USA - JUN 27, 2012
Bomber of 2010. Pours a hazy brownish orange with a small white head. Aroma is fruit, malt, and yeast. Taste is sweet and fruity with an alcohol warmth.
