2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
On draft at the brewery. Hazy yellow orange pour, with a small fizzy head. Bubble gum, sugary, artificial orange flavoring, coriander and ginger spice, mild wheat grain, and watery. I had a hard time finishing the taster, ugh.

Pint upstairs at Red Hook, Tyler’s 30th. Pours light orange brown with a beige head. Aroma is floral, white cracker, orange. Taste is caramel, orange, banana, slight floral. Bland sweet banana finish. The best thing about this beer is the tagline "made with Ginger, but still digs Mary Ann."

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Transfer from BA review on 7-23-13-
Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a hazy yellow-golden color with a tiny bit of an orange hue. Upon pouring there is a one finger white fizzy head. The head fades rather fast leaving very little lacing and a tiny bit of foam on the top of the brew.
Smell – The aroma is of a wheaty nature with smells of lemon mixed within. There are notes of a ginger and coriander spice as well as some sweeter orange which combine with the aforementioned as well as a little bit of yeast.
Taste – The taste begins with a dry cracker and bready taste with some hints of wheat and citrus (orange and lemon) mixed within. A light yeast taste then comes to the tongue with it bringing some coriander and ginger. Toward the end the spice gets a bit stronger with a banana joining in as well creating a still rather dry and lightly spiced wit flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the thinner and lighter side with a carbonation level that is rather average. The moderate carbonation and thinner body make it very drinkable and more refreshing, although a slightly thicker may have been nicer for giving it a bit more flavor.
Overall – The flavor is a little bit lighter in this wit but its not bad for a warm summer day though as it is rather easy drinking and a bit more refreshing.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Twelve ounce bottle from Widmer/Red Hook/Kona summer variety 12 pack purchased at Western Hills Kroger, tasted on September 21, 2013. Cloudy orange/yellow hue, sweet/spicy aroma with clove dominating, flavor mostly sweet and spicy with a fair amount of ginger. Can’t say this is much of a Belgian wit but it’s all right.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle from Conifer Village Liquor. Orange and pretty clear with a completely dissipating head, no lacing. Aroma of bread, spices, sweet malts, herbs, coriander, lemons and orange peel. Similar flavor, sugary and sweet with light bitterness. Oh, and a fuck ton of ginger. Pretty light body with average carbonation and a long finish.

Flavor: strong ginger flavor, some spice (coriander?), a bit of yeasty bread sweetness in the middle and a mild hop bite in the finish.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours relatively clear for a wheat beer while a fizzy seltzer-esque head quickly fades into nothing. Swirls with nothing, too. After the pour settles there are a few scattered wheaty bits hovering suspended in the golden brew.
Mild all around. Candied ginger with sour granny smith apples along the edges. Sourdough.
Much like the nose, mild and unassuming. Candied ginger up front with some ginger heat in the back. Chewy whole wheat breads along the edges. Sourdough breads and apples on top.
A rather forgettable wheat ale from a once great craft beer brewery. The flavors were mild and never seemed to truly mesh, working more against each other than with each other. Moving on…
