Pour on tap at Avery Sourfest 2012, clear purple-red with thin pinkish colored head, aroma has notes of red wine, some slight lactic notes, hints of dry grape skin and cherry, touch of funkiness and a slight hint of oak. Taste is much less appealing, basically is a wine cooler with a slight hint of funk. @ Avery Sourfest 2012. Clear rosy pink, with an aroma of blackberries, raspberries, honey-covered cereal. Flavor was weird but likeable; sweet sugary berries with a honey tone and a funky dry finish, from the Brett yeast. Interesting. Sweet and dry, and lots of honey and berries. On tap[ at Avery Sour Fest poured a clear pink with a lingering ring of pink foam. Aromas of black raspberry, honey and light chalk. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of honey, black raspberry and light straw with a crisp lingering honey finish. Where’s the Brett!!!

Tap at 3rd Annual Boulder SourFest (06-02-2012). Poured a peach/apricot color with a small head that quickly dissipated. Sweet aroma with hints of honey, raspberries, tropical fruit, and light vanilla. Taste is much the same, sweet honey, vanilla, and berries with subdued funk. Not much sour in the taste, at all. Tap @ Avery SourFest III. Peachy appearance with a dissipating, bubbly head. Dark berry (raspberry, blackberry), rich honey, fairly sweet aroma. Rich honey, raspberry fruity, light vanilla flavor. The brett notes were quite faint and this wasn’t too exciting.
