clear red, hot sweet fruit aroma, sweet fruit flavor, nice black raspberry flavor,
Words: Barley’s NC
sweet alcoholic raspberry aroma, raspberry flavor is nicely subdued, light bitterness balances the sweetness, actually comes out very dry on draft
keeping the dryness although still a very rich flavor,

8/07/2007: Redstone Black Raspberry Nectar is a still mead that is transparent, violet/pink in color and has a foamy, light pink-colored head. The aroma is a combination of tart blackberry and red wine. The flavor is floral honey and some black raspberries. The alcohol can be felt in the nose. There is some residual honey flavor on the palate as well. Medium-light body with some faint carbonation which was a bit weird. I really enjoy mean, but this one wasn’t that great in my opinion.wetherel (1893) - Cupertino, California, USA - JUL 29, 2007
Draught? (250 mL glass) at The Brew Kettle in Stongsville, Ohio. Rating #67 for this mead...
My first mead rating. No head and no bubbles whatsoever. Red Koolaid color. Sweet. Slight alchohol taste, but covered with sweetness. Smell is very, very light. Maybe a little bit of cranberry, but difficult to tell especially with no carbonation. Not too drinkable with the alchohol and sweetness (and I love sweetness), but maybe with some cheese. kkearn (1221) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 11, 2007
pink, cranberry juice appearance, with no head. sweet, strawberry, raspberry and cranberry aroma. As expected, raspberry is the dominant flavor, with some honey sweetness in the background. Mildly effervescent. Refreshing, accessible, and not as intense as most of the meads I’ve sampled. BrewDad (5667) - Olympia, Washington, USA - JUN 10, 2007

Deep reddish color with a great fruity aroma. This was a great after dinner drink for me. The flavors where thick with fruit and very sweet to the mouth feel. A very refreshing drink and great for those who do not like beer but ore like a sweet wine. Good stuff.
Tasted at SD Fair festival.Bright and light red.Aromas of what else but raspberry. carbonated on the palate. Sweet and fruity with a smooth feel. Refreshing on a sunny warm day such as today in Del Mar. BDR (2535) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - JUN 2, 2007
Tasted at the fifth annual Colorado Wine Tasting Festival in Manitou Springs, CO. Again, a nice raspberry nose and body mingled with the dry honey taste. But as with the other nectar series, I could have lived without the carbonation. nick76 (4402) - Tampa, Florida, USA - MAY 29, 2007
The aroma is sweet and fruity with raspberry and plastic. The appearance is berry red. The flavor is sweet and fruity without being cloying. The palate is thin but refreshing. Overall a really good mead. Palidor19 (3193) - Brandon, Florida, USA - MAY 29, 2007
this is the best nectar style yet. it’s highly fizzy with flavor of sweet, ripe rassberries. the palate is thin, yet the rest of the mead fulfills your tastebuds. perfect for the spring. beerbill (3618) - Laurel, New York, USA - MAY 28, 2007
750 ml bottle. Pours a clear reddish pink with some effervescence. The aroma was honey and raspberries, but not sweet smelling. The flavor was a bit sweeter with the honey and raspberry flavors well-balanced. The light carbonation in combination with the flavors yields a mead that is very light on the palate and quite refreshing. And the cobalt blue bottle with the swing-top and their unique lable design deserve mention as well.
