Dry-hopped with Amarillo and Centennial hops give this Nectar a hoppy nose and a floral & citrus flavor. Hints of bitterness.

Light-bodied mead with bubbly carbonation. The flavor is a lighter honey than Redstone’s Traditional Mead. Hops add a twist - grape on top of a lttle tangerine.

[Bottle] Pours a clear yellow color with no head and fizzy carbonation. Nose is mostly sweet floral honey notes with some hops mixed in. Light fruits, honey, grassy hops and citrus zest in the taste. There is some amount of a sweet/bitter clash in this mead because of the hops. The one upside is that the bitterness cut down on the honey sweetness a bit. Average mouthfeel with light alcoholic notes coming out as it warms. It’s OK.

MeadMe (1661) - Fishhawk, Florida, USA - OCT 30, 2011
Pours a pale yellow. Aromas of nice sweet honey and floral hops. The flavor is very sweet like unfermented honey. Light apple and flowers. The hops come through in the finish. For some reason the flavors just don’t meld here.

Interesting aroma of stale grassy noble hops, hay, and of course honey. Very pale yellow, clear and still. Dry and light flavor initially, but the flavor of clover and honey , still dry, appears and gathers steam to a climactic finish. Soft carbonation. The intensity never gets there for me although the flavor is nice for a drier mead.

7 oz goblet on tap. Pale yellow in color, slight happy aroma, sweet honey notes. Somewhat dry quality. Good stuff.

Clear light yellow with no head. Sweet honey and rose aroma and taste with a lightly vegetal finish. Pretty good.

On tap at 2011 Garden Grapes and Hops at the Denver Botanic Gardens. Clear light yellow, with a smell of strong honey sugar, and some outstanding flowery, resinous hop aromas. The flavor brought sweet honey tones to greet a lemony, sweet hop tone. Slight acidity, like candied lemon juice. Quite tasty and unique!

Draft. Pours clear light yellow with no head. Light honey sweet aroma with light floral hoppy notes. Strange honey sweet and hoppy flavor. Oddly well balanced. Not bad.

Bottle in Minneapolis. Very, very light yellow, transparent appearance with a good amount of carbonation. Sweet honey nose with light hops. Sweet, light fruity, light apricot vinous flavor with light hops. Quite tasty and the hops are interesting but don’t add all that much to it.

Golden delicious apple aroma. A fight between hops and honey...and the loser is...whoever drinks it.
