Bottle at Rattle n Hum shared by Alex of SKI: I was drinking different beers and rated this from memory. Light golden pour. Sweet and herbal aroma, a bit buttery and biscuity- mild chamomile notes peak through. Light spritzy body. Softly sweet flavor. Honeyish, and herbal but quite buttery, especially on the back. Sub par and macro-ish.

Pour from a 500 mL can. Light yellow in color, sparkling in a nice way. Sweet, lots of honey and a nice bit of hops at the end. Not bad, but I don’t want to drink a ton of this.

Pours a yellowish color. Aroma of some hop, light honey as well as grapefruit. Flavor is the same as aroma and kinda nasty. Mouth feel is watery and lightly carbonated. Overall, I’m thinking hop’s do not belong in a mead. Just my opinion.

[Bottle] Pours a clear yellow color with no head and fizzy carbonation. Nose is mostly sweet floral honey notes with some hops mixed in. Light fruits, honey, grassy hops and citrus zest in the taste. There is some amount of a sweet/bitter clash in this mead because of the hops. The one upside is that the bitterness cut down on the honey sweetness a bit. Average mouthfeel with light alcoholic notes coming out as it warms. It’s OK.

Old rating. Unusual but good. Honey, citrusy hops, Apple, semisweet. Pretty fun stuff.

sampled @ GABF 07. I really liked this actually. Sweet honey aroma with citrus hops. Pours very light blonde. The flavor is mildly sweet the hops balance out the sweetness nicely and give it a good hop flavor.

Pours a pale straw color. Aroma of light fruit. Taste of light fruit and not much else. Light body, a bit watery. Reminded me of a wine spritzer. Expected a whole lot more.

UPDATED: MAY 2, 2009 Crushed with Jakebra at BSAF. Honey and nectar on the nose and in the flavor. Not much in the way of hops, however. Incredibly sweet still. Re-rate: Nice nose with lots of sweetness. Very sweet flavor but not overly. Just pleasant. Pretty awesome.

Sampled at the Manitou Wine Festival. The nose is brilliant clover honey, with good hop character of orange peels and pine. Very sweet, with a fairly significant hop bitterness that gives it a good dry finish. This is a surprisingly balanced, aromatic, and delicious mead.
