4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle as pictured provided by EDA, haven’t seen mike at a tasting in some time, good to see you out man. Pours a murky ruby bruin body with a bubbly head. A big puree of raspberry notes, light honey tones, tart and not nearly as sweet as i typically find a mead to be. A big raspberry seed tartness with a drying full bodied finish. Really something special. Thank You!
Pour out of 500 mL bottle, thanks Bill! Clear dark red pour with no head, still pour, aroma brought notes of big tart raspberry jam, vanilla, oak into big honey with some herbal, and mainly floral notes, other red berries come in. Taste was a mix of berry, cherry, some cranberry into nice honey, vanilla, touch of tart apple almost into some cinnamon, finishing sweet. tchaos (428) - New York, USA - MAR 25, 2015

Bottle shared at Meadme’s mead tasting, poured a dark red with aromas of raspberries, light booze, and some sugar. Flavors are the same with huge raspberry flavor and some sweetness. Solid mead overall. MeadMe (1652) - Fishhawk, Florida, USA - MAY 13, 2013
Pour a nice muddy red hue. This thing stained the bottle. Aroma is big on berry. Flavor is rich sweet raspberry. Nice honey notes in the background. With waves of mild tartness. Not as good as 01 but still damn tasty. adnielsen (10605) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAR 19, 2013

In short: A concentrate raspberry sweet drink. Unique and excellent dessert sipper. HonusWagner (2168) - Florida, USA - MAR 29, 2011
How: Funny looking bottle, age unknown, Post-EBF hotel tasting
The look: Cloudy golden-copper body topped with almost no head
In long: Nose is intense, really intense, with so much raspberries it is crazy. Taste is one big concentrate mash of raspberries, intense raspberry taste, extremely sweet, sticky syrupy mouthfeel, low carbonation. As much as I loved it, I cannot imagine drinking a full bottle of this by myself, this is a slow dessert sipper to share with friends if you have any. This thing really was a unique experience, not the best drink I had, but certainly the most memorable of my EBF week-end. This is something I would have liked to buy, but the day after I saw a bottle at Julio’s beerstore with a price tag of $70. Ouch! It was excellent, but not $70 excellent, I don’t have money to burn, all I have is credit cards I should cut up.
Probably the best Mead I’ve had so far, really captured the essence of raspberries with lots of sweetness but also slightly tart. Thanks to the guy who shared this, I think your name is also Mike and you complimented me on my Padres jacket but I was kind of tired. j12601 (11169) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - MAR 24, 2011
Bottle courtesy of EDA I believe at the Saturday night hotel tasting after EBF. Pours a murky brown. Big raspberry jam, sweet and tangy on the nose. Loads of crushed raspberry, chewy raspberry jam. Lovely stuff. Long jam and raspberry, chewy on the finish. Very nice. Ungstrup (37333) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - AUG 26, 2008
A hazy amber mead. The aroma has alcohol burning in the nose together with medium notes of rasperries, while the flavor is acidic and with notes of the raspberries.
