COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask & Bottled; Regular.

A surprisingly approachable smoked porter, velvet smooth with a robust malt backbone. This is infused with Chipotles to give even more smokiness and a subtle hint of heat, a real winter warmer.

UPDATED: OCT 20, 2017 Subtle smokey aroma with a cola like colour and thickness. The chilli aftertaste is pleasant but I wish there was a little less subtlety to the flavours.

Piwo bez refleksow w kolorze czarno-brunatnym nalewa sie z dosc obfita drobnopecherzykowa piana. Zdecydowanie wiecej nut palonych niz wedzonki, dosc wysokie wysycenie, w smaku troche czekolady i ciemnych slodow. Minimalna ostrosc na finiszu pochodzaca od papryczek.

Cask @ Salopian. Pours dark, small tan head. Aroma is reassuringly smokey, woody, malty. Taste is smooth, smokey with a distinct chilli kick that provides a welcome spicy warmth. Some added meatiness in the malt. Really very good.

33cl can from Beer52. Cola colourednwith a fast fading cream head; chocolate malt aroma; smokey malt taste, with a gentle but lasting warmth from the chilli; and a dry finish.

UPDATED: JUL 23, 2017 A nice porter, not too much smoke. A little bit of spice from the chipotle. Enjoyable.

More roasty and toasty than smoked, though you do get a little bit in the background. Chipotles come through nicely to give a warm spice and a tiny bite. Light/medium bod, creamy mouthfeel.

Lo bod, coca-cola complexion, aroma of toast, coffee, chocolate, similar in the smell, nice afterbite of some spices, adds some piquancy.

Can from Ales By Mail. Pours clear deep red/brown with a big creamy beige head. Aroma of dark malts, weak trace of chili, inviting aroma. Taste is complex dark malts, weak smoked with an nice light chilli burn at the finish, me like

Can 330ml (AbM, BB 12/2017)

Dark brown colour, tiny beige head. Smokey and perfumic nose. Light to medium-bodied. Light smoke, toasted malts, some cocoa sweetness. Light Chipotle burn arrives in the aftertaste. Ok.
