Draft, on premises.A good hop bitterness, though its 38 advertised IBU’s are not much more than their helles. Slightly cloudy dark yellow body under an off-white head with mucho lacing. Finished off with a good, bitter aftertaste. Closer in style to an American ale, as hennes mentioned, though not quite as malty.

Pailhead (6543) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - DEC 11, 2015
On tap: The aroma consists of light fruit, citrus, and a touch of florals. It’s a transparent amber with a small white head that quickly fades to a thin film outlined by a slightly thicker ring. There is a good amount of soapy webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with light-moderate fruit and a touch of caramel. The finish has mild florals with a touch of citrus hops. It’s light-medium bodied with mild carbonation and a somewhat soft mouthfeel.

On tap at Redwood. Poured a golden color with a small sized head. Floral, toasted grains, and a lighter fruity sweetness.

chucklemation (1762) - Royal Oak, Michigan, USA - APR 8, 2015
Pours a cloudy yellow, no head. Aroma is fruity. Flavor is fruity and malty with low bitterness. This was just ok.

Draft - Pale malts and some vegative notes. Clear gold with a decent white head. Vegative notes that overwhelm the beer. Not good.

deyholla (12200) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - AUG 21, 2014
Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a very hazy gold with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has woody and musty grains with light pine and grass underlying. Flavor is similar with woody grains and a bit of pine and grass bite in the finish.

Tmoney99 (14952) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 25, 2010
Draft sample. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Moderate balanced hop and malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where just met.

jujubeast6000 (854) - Houston, Texas, USA - OCT 29, 2007
(Tap @ Redwood Lodge, Flint, MI): Dark brown-blackish color. Frothy off-white head. Chocolately roasted, malts. Coffee taste. Some alcohol taste.

Dogbrick (13751) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - OCT 10, 2006
Sample at the brewpub: This brew is a cloudy amber/orange color with a thin light beige head that lasts awhile. Sheets of lacing coat the glass. The aroma is hoppy with a surprisingly spicy bouquet. Medium body with a nice combination of floral hops and spices, as well as a touch of fruit. The finish is citrusy hops with a mild lingering bitterness. Pretty good all around.
