Mysterious metallic taste that destroys a beer with an interesting introduction. The malt can dominate here and the beer is only very weakly hopped.

Dark brown with a nice reddish shine and a small slightly off-white head; aroma is malty sweet and quite spicy; taste is high in sweetness, a lot of spiciness and a little bitterness; texture is creamy with medium to high carbonation

This is an Amber, not really a brown ale. For my taste, this beer is overly spicy with the hop character so the malts dont shine. What I can taste of the malts isnt impressive either. I had high hopes for this beer but for my palate, it was a let down.

Bottle. Sweet and malty but too much. Must be ice cold. Only slightly bitter. Best beer out of this brewery.

Almost mainstream. Used to be a big deal, but this is a pale reflection of what a good brown ale can be. Its somewhat watery and with too much carbonation and even sligthly metallic. Some malty sweetness.

Bottle. Clear light brown with small head. Aroma of toasted, caramel and overriped fruits. Heavy yeasty notes. Light notes of herbal hops. Starts sweet and finish light bitter. Light watery. Easy drinkable. An old-time classic...
