NosirIwont (2532) - Frederikssund, DENMARK - APR 23, 2017
Bottle. 8.5%. Best before 03.10.17. Pours a dark, reddish/chestnut brown, with a disappearing, light tan head. Aroma is dark fruits and a bit of cooked vegetables. Light malt in the background. Bit of alcohol and a dusty overtone as it warms. Flavour is malt/molasses with dark fruits. Somewhat dusty, a wee bit grainy, and alcoholic as well. Dryish, slightly tart finish, with an alcohol burn. Dark and overripe fruits. Overall so-so. Not bad, but not partuclarly interesting either, and in the low end for the style. 23.04.17.

Farven er mørkebrun til sort med en beige, let og flygtig skumkrone. Aromaen og smagen er brød, korn, farin. Smager alkoholisk.

Sigmund (7511) - Tau, NORWAY - NOV 24, 2015
330 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 8.5%. Brewed with glucose syrup and sugar, caramel colour added. Mahogany colour, moderate to low beige head. Moderate but pleasant malty aroma with strong notes of caramel, a hint of spices. Very malty flavour, medium sweet (not too much), with distinct notes of caramel. A hint of spices and moderate hops in the finish. Very "old school", and a pleasant surprise. Would buy again.

Stærke Julius - maltbombe brun farin meget meget julet. Meget old fashion.

DraftDodger (1526) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - SEP 13, 2015
Copenhagen 13/9 2015. 33 cl bottle from Skjold Burne. Weird time of year to sell Christmas beer (but it was pretty cheap). Most fittingly a drawing of Santa carrying huge sack of presents on the label. Pours clear reddish dark brown with off-white head. Settles as thin layer of foam. Aroma id prominently sour and a little skunky. A little metallic alcohol as well. Soft carbonation. Taste is quite sweet. A little skunky and with sharp notes of alcohol. He might be strong, Santa Julius, but he ain't no pleasure.

nudiebear (336) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 4, 2015
Bottle at home. Gift from Meilby, thanks! Poured a clear light brown with no head. Aromas are christmas spices, aqua vitae, alcohol and banana. Tastes lightly sweet, lightly bitter. Long after taste due to alcohol. Slightly too dominant alcohol for my taste in this one.
