bartlebier (4108) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - JAN 27, 2015
50cl bottle bb06/2015, Bamberg inter festas. Firm hazelnut-maroni pour. Radiant with earthy caramel, nuts, something resembling maple syrup. These roasted and caramel malt aromas in the taste join the lesser balanced elements of an astoundingly dry mouthfeel and astringent, chestnut peel and grassy bitterness, almost outrageous for a dunkler Bock. Some alcohol burning unerneath that all. Falls flat on that near metallic, furry bitterness in the finish. Hard to enjoy despite a great mix of full and natural flavours.

kappldav123 (6126) - GERMANY - OCT 31, 2014
Bottle looks good. Beer in the glass light brownish, not as dark as exspected. Starts strong, malty, fine spicy, light roasty. Not as strong as exspected. Some nutty notes. Finish well balanced, soft-malty. Could be a bit more intense, I think. But still okay.

3.3
Erzengel (9334) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - DEC 30, 2013
Test vom 8.5.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,12,11,10,12,11 - 11,15
