Clear amber with a small white head. Mild caramel aroma with some grassy hop notes. Heavy carbonation, a bit harsch in the bitterness, herbal, and mild sweet. Koelschtrinker (21175) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - JUN 10, 2011
Das Bier schmeckt malzig mild und absolut wässrig. Da stellt sich mir die Frage, ob es doch ein Gold-Bier ist? Der Nachgeschmack lässt leicht an Kaffee erinnern - dieses Bier ist nicht gelungen.

Very nice too, dark ones even better. A little sweet and not so soft but still nice with good head. OleR (4804) - Oslo, NORWAY - JAN 3, 2011
0.5L bottle. Dense blond head. Body color is amber to nut-brown. Aroma of spiced caramel and grassy hops. Taste is fresh sourish spiced malts. A fair amount of grassy hops to balance. Well-bodied. Toasted malts and a fine bitterness in the finish. Quite a nice one. Dedollewaitor (16315) - Odense, DENMARK - JUL 30, 2010

Courtesy of oh6gdx, tnx. Clear amber color, medium-sized off-white head. Toasted sugar, malts and grass in the nose. Flavor has caramel malts (toasted sugar), grassy hops and some rye bread. Grassy aftertaste. This is not a dunkel styled beer, but a dark landbier.
Bottle, 5.5%. Caramelly aroma, slightly buttery. Not unpleasant, but a little strange. Clear brown colour, hint of grey. Very unstable head. The flavour is OK malty, not like a Dunkel, but somewhere in between that and a Helles. Low bitterness, but OK flavour. Seems a little boring at first, but after a while a subtle roasted nuttiness comes forward in the flavour. Oakes (18517) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 29, 2009
Bright, brownish amber. Has a slightly earthy, crackerlike maltiness. Somewhat thin beer for the region. Light cracker notes, hints of cookies and brown sugar. Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 21, 2009
Bottle. Clear copper with scant off-white head. Aroma has some minerals, but is alright because of the bready notes. Mouthfeel is somewhat slick and a teensy bit tacky. Low carbonation. Flavors are not bad in spite of some metallic notes. Neither bad nor good.
