A golden ale with a thin light mocha head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with light honey and corn, oxidized notes, light grassy hops, OK. In mouth, a sweet fruity malt with loads of oxidation, treacle, light butterscotch, OK.

3.3
MelvinKalksma (1719) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 30, 2016

Aroma:
Slight aroma of malts, caramel, Belgian yeast, fruit and grain.

Appearance:
Hazy/turbid amber/orange beer with a slight/medium off-white head.

Taste/Palate:
Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel, Belgian yeast and fruit; ends slightly dry with grain.

Overall:
This beer is rather intense and balanced, but lacks complexity. The flavour is more intense than the aroma, but both are still lacking. Okay beer, but nothing to write home about.

It started with a fruity aroma and finished on a strong honey taste. Not a bad thing in fact, but you have to enjoy honey, because it’s what you’ll get.

Strong honey aroma. In the mouth we’re still on the honey side. Interesting aroma but the rest is a bit disappointing.

330ml bottle. Clear amber color. Medium size, beige head, stays. Raisins, fart, malty, sweet, metaboli in aroma. Metallic, malty, sweet, bit yeasty in taste. Metallic and malty in aftertaste. Messy and alcoholic. Brrrrr.

330ml bottle (BeerExpress, Tallinn)
Aroma’s all over the place - rice pudding, porridge, some tinned tomato. Messy and sweet, whatever it is. Hazy orange, small persistent head. Ooh, Anna’s clear glass was clear and less messed up. Boring sweet belgian ale, bready if I’m being complementary, sweetness comes over a little coconutty. Complete mess. Sweet and porridgey. Not a good belgian.

4.1
Lele (562) - Padova, ITALY - APR 24, 2015
ASPETTO: ambrato bellissimo e limpido. Schiuma bianca, fine, abbondante e persistente.
